(It’s fine, I talked to her and we broke up)

Allura walked up to some stand like thing and with the press of a few buttons, pictures of other robotic lions were hovering around them.

((Oh. Oh boy. Shit, man, I'm sorry.))

Cammy's eyes widened, and she stubbed her cigarette out on the back of her hand as she spun around slowly. "Holy shit." She breathed, and then pointed excitedly at the blue lion. "It's Blue!"

(It's fine, I'm okay)

Allura chuckled a little, "You five are the paladins of Voltron, it seems. Each of you have your own lion that when combined, forms Voltorn, the greatest weapon in the universe."

"And how exactly are you sure that's us?" Pidge asked, watching the holograms with fascination. Cammy was fawning over the hologram of Blue, despite it being just that.

(Okay, I'll make sure to remember)

"I'm not, but let's just say I have a… gut feeling. It seems one of you has already found your lion." Allura looked to Cammy with a small smile.

Cammy snapped her fingers and pointed finger guns at Allura. "Noice, I guess."

"What about the other lions?" Hunk asked, looking around at the holograms. "Where are they, which of us would even be their paladin, and how's this even work?"

"The lions are very similar to their paladins. The quintessence in the pilot mirrors that of the lion. The lion choices the pilot," Allura started, "The black lion is the leader of Voltron and needs a pilot that men would follow without a second thought," An image of the lion stopped in front of Shiro, "The green lion is inquisitive to say the least, the pilot needs to be intelligent," That image stopped in front of Pidge, "The yellow lion has a caring personality and a big heart, almost as big as its pilots," She looked to Hunk, "The red lion in temperamental and the most difficult to master. It's faster and more agile then the rest, yet also more unstable. It's pilot needs to rely on instinct rather then skill, alone." The image of the lion stopped in front of Alex.

"Temperamental and unstable is right." Cammy muttered to herself, sticking her hands in her jacket pockets as she looked around. While all this was cool, and admittedly intriguing, something about it was nagging at her.

Alex glared at Cammy But didn’t say anything as he crossed his arms, “Now, we have to find the lions. The black lion is here in the castle and can only be unlocked when the others are present. The yellow and green lions were on neutral planets but unfortunately I can’t find where the red lion is right now.”

"You said…we were connected to them," Cammy started, the gears obviously turning in her head.

"Which means hypothetically," Hunk looked over at Alex. "Alex should be able to at least pinpoint where the lion is, if we can get a general idea."

"That's how Cammy found…Blue, was it?" Pidge finished, nodding. "Refused to leave the cave."

“If Alex is on the same planet or ship he’d be able to find red, yes,” Allura said, “While you are off finding your lions, I’ll try and locate when red is, but the time you’re back we should have found it.”

“Then what are we waiting for,” Alex spoke up, “Let’s go.”

The group shortly decided who was going to go with who to retrieve the lions. Shiro and Pidge would go together in a space pod, same with Coran and Hunk. Cammy and Alex would stay behind until Allura got a lock on the red lions position and they would be sent to retrieve it - much to Alex's distaste.

Soon enough, only Allura, Alex and Cammy were left in the Castle of Lions, and Alex hoped Allura found his lion soon. Though he hated the idea about Cammy going with him, arguing and fighting weren't going to help, no matter how appealing they sounded to him.

Cammy watched Allura work, sitting cross legged on the ground near her. She was focusing on anything other than her and Alex's upcoming mission together, not in any mood to be alone with him. At least with the others around, she could ignore him. Now, though? They'd have to communicate, if they wanted to get the red lion.

She had another cigarette in her hand, this one unlit as she spun it in her fingers. She wondered just how long they'd be in space, and realized that was what had been bugging her. She had no way of telling how long they'd been gone, or any way to let her siblings know she was alright.

After a few moments, Allira gasped, “I fount the lion! Though…” She trialed off, looking worried.

Alex looked to here, frowning, “Though what?”

“The lion is on a galra ship, and it’s headed this way, no doubt to attack us.” She replied, biting her lip.

"So we get there first." Cammy said as she stood, as though it was obvious. "We pull stealth to get the lion out, and then attack the ship before it can reach us."

Allura nodded, “Hopeful,y by then thenothers will be back and we can use the lions if we need too. You two better hurry, then.”

Cammy nodded, shifting her bag higher on her shoulder as she turned, starting for the exit. "You comin' or what, Red?" She called over her shoulder, just before slipping out into the hall.

Alex rolled his eyes and saluted to Allura before he followed Cammy, quickly catching up to her, "We talking Blue or a pod?"

"Blue, obviously." Cammy tucked her cigarette behind her ear. "I just found out I'm the cosmo's chosen pilot of a giant blue robot lion, of course I'm going to choose her."

((I'm so zazzed for the Balmera because of Cammy's fear of being underground))

Alex sighed and shook his head a little, “Albright alright, I was just asking.”

Cammy grinned, a slight skip to her walk as she led the way through the halls. Always the picture of cheerful nonchalance. "I don' get why you ain't hella excited. Mr. Right-Hand-Man."

Alex just shrugged, keeping his face blank, "I am, but I'm more focused on the fact that we're going to be fighting an alien race who destroyed an entire race of people. Also, being right hand means there's a lot of pressure. Not as much as Shiro but still."

Cammy shook her head, letting out a dramatic sigh. "You worry too much." Says you. "Look, man. Shitty things are shitty things, and there's plenty of them." She picked up the pace once she was outside, towards Blue, and called over her shoulder. "Make the best of a bad situation."

Alex rolled his eyes, "Whatever." He ran to catch up with her, cautiously entering Blue.

Cammy plopped down in the pilot's seat in the cockpit, grinning. "You ready to fuck shit up, beautiful?"

Alex resisted the urge to roll his eyes again and leaned against a wall not too far from Cammy, "Let's get going before the Galra get here."
