"Whoa, he was really looking into them," Tolkalee breathed. He looked around, and glanced at Sam. "And someone either didn't want him to, or someone else got to him. Question is, where is he now?"
"Whoa, he was really looking into them," Tolkalee breathed. He looked around, and glanced at Sam. "And someone either didn't want him to, or someone else got to him. Question is, where is he now?"
Chris woke up after falling unconscious but he wasn’t in the lab where he should be. He slowly stood up. Note to self, no more working overnight he reminded himself before he got a view of where he was. He looked up, trying to figure out where he was. Royal Building? How the hell did I end up here… he thought to himself as he walked outside the room he was in. He then walked back to the Research Building to be met with Tolkalee.
Chris walked into the building and saw Tolkalee looking through the documents. “You interested…?” He said as he took off his hat and mask and placed them on his desk. He then turned to see Sam fully bandaged. Poor him…
"Dude what happened?" He asked looking at Chris as he came in. "Sam is almost dead and there were papers everywhere."
Hinata shuffled downstairs.
"Hey, guys… Can I talk to you?" She was looking at Matthew and Cronos.
Chris sighed and shook his head. “The last thing I remember is that I zoned out on my desk and just fell asleep. The next thing I know, I was in the Second Hall of the Royal Building. I don’t know who came in or who hurt Sam here…” he explained to Tolkalee.
Matthew and Cronos looked at each other. “Yeah sure, about what?”
Tolkalee sighed, he glanced at the papers in his hands. "So you did believe me at least a little bit," he commented.
Chris nervously laughed. “Well yeah…I never actually done acceptable research on those guys yet, that’s why I started doing them last night”
"There is nothing wrong with knowing your friends," Tolkalee said, his tone holding a hint of sadness. "It's better to actually know them, than to think you know them."
Chris walked to his desk and grabbed a photograph that was neatly placed on it. “You know…maybe it’s better if I told you a secret of mine. You might be able to view me correctly as the person I actually am” he said as he showed Tolkalee the photograph. It was a photo of Chris and another scientist, Amatsuki, the host of Moonlight Sonata. “I’m actually his apprentice so…technically I’m on his side…”
Hinata glanced at Aisen.
"Alone."
Aisen raised a brow. Matthew, Cronos and Cassius walked closer to Hinata. “So…what do you want to talk about?”
"The incident with Tolkalee. First, however, I want to make it clear I am not upset with it, and the only reason I wish to talk with you about it is why you attacked an ally that has proved themselves to be important to us." Hinata held her hands up.
Matthew, Cassius and Cronos looked at each other while Aisen walked to the door. “I might get some fresh air” he said as he walked out the door and closed it on the way.
Matthew sighed. “Though I might not be able to tell you the whole story, I can indeed tell you about some parts of it. In every group of 4 Knights there will be what the Master calls as a Paladin’s Mission. In this case, my group consisted of me, Cassius, Cronos and Intharachit. As you can tell, the Knights don’t have to be from the same generation. For the mission itself, I’m afraid I can’t go into detail but for your information, both you and Tolkalee are not involved and will be considered a crime for not respecting the Knights’ privacy, in which case I hope you understand…” he explained to Hinata.
Tolk looked at the picture, then looked at Chris. "Okay," he said plainly, walking back over to check on Sam.
"It's perfectly fine. Trust me, I'm practically the definition of having to keep sh*t secret. Anyways, there was something else I need to talk to you about…" Hinata held out her left hand and concentrated. A fuzzy image of the mask the figure had left behind appeared there.
"Recognize this?"
Both Matthew and Cronos looked at Cassius. Cassius was confused. “That…isn’t mine…” he answered to the other Knights’ suspicions.
"Well, who's ever it is, they literally invaded my mind and decided to mess with my Companion Souls. When I get my hands on them…" Hinata's stared turned icey, and her voice hardened.
"I'll slowly rip them limb from limb and shove their own fists down their throat and up their @$$."
Tolk crouched next to Sam. "He's dying," he turned to look at Chris. "We need Cassius to help him. I don't have enough supplies here to keep him alive."
Cassius walked to Hinata. “Can I have a look at that mask clearly again?” He asked, curious of who the person might’ve been.
Chris raised a brow. “Even though he nearly killed you last night…?”
Hinata focused, but she couldn't get the image to focus.
"Um, I think you should sit down so I can do something…"
"I have had so many people try to kill me it's not even funny. Several times those people being my own friends. I hold nothing against them," Tolkalee explained. "I just wish they would give some sort of explanation. But currently we need Cassius if we're to save Sam."
Cassius sat down on a chair. “So uh…what now?”
Chris rearranged the documents. “You wanna go get him, or do you want me to get him?”
Hinata sat next to him.
"Patience." Hinata closed her eyes and went to sleep. In her mind, she briskly walked to the Observatory. She simply grabbed her device and swung it at Cassius.
"You would be faster, and we don't have a lot of time to waist," Tolk decided. "So if you would that would be nice. I'll try to make sure he doesn't die before you get back."
Cassius appeared again in Hinata’s mind. “Dream fishing…sure…” he turned to Hinata.
Hinata walked over to a table, where she gestured to the mask.
"Better?"
Chris nodded and went out the building. He called his crows to teleport him to the house immediately. He appeared beside Matthew as he jumped. “Jesus Chris, you scared me…” he was laying the floor, forgetting to breath slightly. Chris looked to see Cassius with Hinata. “I think I’ll have to wait then…” he said to himself.
(Jesus Chris….. Ha…. Ha…. Ha)
(That was unintentional…)
