Maybe? Or should it be in another abandoned building? Idk what would be big enough to house so many people like a mall other than a hospital, which tbh seems a little cliche.

Perhaps we should switch up the type of apocalypse it was as well, either change the waves up or veto the waves and do something else?

How big a school though? Like elementary or college type thing?

I feel like a college campus would be a good place to have a little society. I mean, between having dorms and usually multiple dining halls, and lab buildings, that sort of thing, it could definitely work pretty well.

I guess it depends since in college they could all be college students with different majors and stuff and high school they would most likely be high school students

I kinda like highschools more. Because then there's the problem of setting up a sleeping area. With colleges there are dorms.

With collages we could have "wars" with other "tribes" living in different parts of the campus

Ok so lets create a quick guide shall we?

SETTINGS:
University/college Campus
The Sea of Dust (aka the outside world)
…

PLOT: (this is what I had in mind)
A group of outsiders travelling around, killing and hunting the beasts that terrorize the realm come across what they think is an abandoned school campus. Upon going inside, they realize they are not alone. For a short whole they are relaxed but then they meet the owners of that campus. Forming a temporary alliance, they live comfortably until both parties learn that they aren't the only ones in the campus.

(Obviously this is a very very basic plot)
