Kanoa waded further out, until she was keeping herself afloat by slowly kicking her legs, and dove down.
Rachel paused for a moment before diving underwater. She kept her eyes open, even if it hurt a little, to look for the cave entrance. Come'on it had to be around here somewhere. She didn't have all that long and she could spot the witches from the corner of her eyes.
(Maybe they should find it in the sand?)
(Do it.)
((Should Kanoa find it, since it's her wand?))
(That works, she could feel a strange pull and follow it to find the wand. Touching it gives her a few more memories. Including where to find Londyn and Kova's staffs)
Kanoa kept swimming down. She wasn't quite sure why, but soon enough, she hit the sand, a decent distance from the surface of the water. And then something caught her eye. I'm pretty sure that type of wood shouldn't be down here.
Rachel watched as one of the witches spotted a stick, no the stick. She began swimming towards it, but in her head she knew she would never reach it in time.
Kanoa quirked an eyebrow, swimming the short distance with ease, and picked up the odd stick. And was struck with the same feeling from earlier.
Damn it, Rachel thought to herself as she began going back to the surface still invisible. She made careful movement to not splash as she surfaced and made her way back to the beach. The witches had the stick.
(That sounds so funny without context 😂😂)
Kova went up to get air and looked at Kanoa "whatcha got there?" She asked
Nearby Archer watched as the water moved a little ways away from the witches and realized Rachel came out, using a talisman to stay invisible.
Rachel moved over to Archer watching as her five minutes of invisibility come to an end, "They have the stick Archer."
Max watched the witches, still hidden behind a rock (I’m assuming there are rocks on this beach). This was not good.
Kanoa swam back to the surface, only to immediately be greeted by Kova. "Uh…" She looked around warily, fairly certain it wasn't something to talk about out loud.
"Why do you have a stick?" She asked
(It looks like a regular stick, Kanoa can do a specific movement (swish and flick) or point it at something then it'll come back to its original form)
"Take a look at this." Kanoa said, lifting it carefully to show Kova. "It just…looks like a stick, right? But this type of wood isn't native here." She was really hoping Kova wouldn't ask how she even knew that.
Kova looked at her strangely before slowly nodding "uh huh and why are you telling me this?" She asked
"I think it's neat." Kona said simply, giving the stick a flourish.
Kova shook her head and dove back into the water
"What do you mean they got the stick?!" Archer growled. "Father will have our heads! You were always his favourite, so you must talk to him tonight!" He said in a panic
Kanoa sat down on the sand to let her clothes dry, and was slightly startled to find that she wasn't holding the same stick anymore. It was a wand, like something out of a Harry Potter film.
"I mean they have the stick!" Rachel threw her hands up in frustration and panic, "The witch beat me to it. It was underwater in case you were wondering. Also I don't have to do anything brother dear, have fun dealing with his wrath without me!" She let out a nervous laugh.
"Dude. What. The. Fuck?" Kova stared, Coming out of the water and sitting in the sand beside her
(She should get a vision about the two staffs, she can decide where they were)
Archer growled and slammed his hands in the ground "I swear to God if anything happens to us, I will murder you." He said in a dangerously low voice
"Like it's my fault?" Rachel snarked crossing her arms, "You were here much longer than I was, you could have found the stick yourself."
Kanoa shrugged a shoulder in a 'I have no clue' gesture, before doubling over as she was hit with another vision. More fucking sticks?
(I'm dying lmfao(also shade, I apologize for Archer. I'm trying to develop a better villainous character))
"Qho wrote the guide book? Who decided that caves were not the answer. Who would have thought an accidental swim might of led to this. Father holds our l9fe source in his hands, we will perish without answers today." He muttered to himself
Kova looked at Kanoa and sighed "I feel bad that we left Londyn behind."
(Acartzens all have a talisman at birth that has a bit of their souls essence in it. This is their life source. Destroy that and the become immensely vulnerable)
"She probably needed to gather her thoughts." Kanoa said after a few minutes, massaging her temples.
"You can tell him that the guide book mislead us," Rachel said, "It was pure bad luck that they got the stick. Also don't tell him I almost managed to grab it, or do. Just keep me alive."
Archer looked at his sister "dont worry, I intend to make sure we all stay alive during our time here." He said
"What's wrong?" Kova asked Kanoa
"More sticks. Three sticks too fuckin' many." Kanoa grumbled, mostly to herself.
