Tempest turned to Lance. "Who is that?"
Tempest turned to Lance. "Who is that?"
"A very old friend of mine that could challenge Poseidon's power over the sea. She's the daughter of a high-class god–which puts her on a single power level above Poseidon and the other gods of this world."
"Wow," she said, impressed.
"She's also a sea nymph," he added as he watched Poseidon growl and retreat, sensing the newest arrival to the battle.
(Got to go. Good night!)
Tempest laughed. "He's dead."
A small body of water swirled through the air and headed towards them, then solidified into a woman as it touched the ground. She had long hair of various shades of blue framing a faintly sea green face and curled around big, deep blue eyes that matched the color of the calming ocean. Her strong features were the exact opposite of the typical soft and rounded features associated with femininity.
Her full lips pulled back in a toothy smile, exposing her needle-like fangs. She said something in a different language, the words slipping over her tongue like liquid.
Lance rolled his eyes. "Language, Koral."
"Ah, right." Her voice still sounded slippery, and her accent was thick, but she was still understandable. "Sorry. I'm Koralia, at your service." She sketched a bow with a flourish towards Tempest.
Tempest grinned. "Thank you."
Koral shrugged. "Lance asked for help, and I was bored. Plus, it's my job to help others. But you're welcome."
Tempest grinned slightly. "Modest much?" She brushed messy hair from her face and glanced back at Lance.
Lance smiled grimly at the two girls. "Your help is appreciated, Koral."
Tempest swam to the bank and stood up, already dry. She was followed by her brothers.
Koral took a look around the place, curiosity getting the better of her. Lance headed over to Tempest.
"Hey," she said, sending him a shy smile. She knew that they had kissed, but she still felt awkward around him. "Thanks."
He shrugged, sliding his hands in his pockets. "All I did was call a friend. Kora did all of the work."
"Well, that's more than I did."
He shook his head. "No, you did much more than I did. You were actually a part of the fight. I just stood here."
"You got her to help us!"
He shook his head again, but more out of exasperation than anything, and let a small smile bloom over his lips. "Whatever you say."
She grinned. "I win."
He chuckled. "Wasn't aware it was a competition."
"Dear, everything is a competition when I'm around." She smirked.
"Dear?" Lance asked with a raised brow. He had forgotten all about the battle that had just gone down. His focus was solely on Tempest.
Tempest blushed slightly, but grinned. "What? You prefer Goat Boy?"
"Technically, either one is an animal that I don't really care to be compared to," he said with a small smile. Her blush was so cute.
She hit him lightly on the shoulder, a grin on her face. "You jerk." She laughed slightly.
"I guess that works," he mused jokingly, smiling down at her.
Tempest laughed.
Aquarius watched, amused. He gestured between the two of them. "When did this happen?"
Lance was taken by surprise. He opened his mouth to say nothing happened but closed it, ducking his head shyly and stepping back from Tempest some.
Bay laughed silently. "Let's leave them." he signed. He and the other brothers. They nodded and walked away.
