He sat on the windowsill shaky from the strain on his body. "We need to go see what's upstairs," he explained.
He sat on the windowsill shaky from the strain on his body. "We need to go see what's upstairs," he explained.
"Oh? It's important enough to interrupt a nap?" Hinata gave Tolkalee a look. A this better be good or you'll be sorry look.
(Also, just saying, Hinata has a sadistic side to tbh. She destroys dimensions when need be. Her jobs sucks.)
Tolkalee pointed up. "We're going to be checking something upstairs. Some people in this house don't want us up there."
Hinata motioned for Tolkalee to come in.
"So? Perhaps it is simply how this world works. Trust me, I've learned that what we just as right and wrong may be different from someone's definition, especially in other dimensions."
"That's not why I want to go check it out," Tolkalee shook his head. "I don't think some of the people here are as they seem. I don't want to think that, but I do. And I'm usually not wrong."
Hinata nodded.
"Everyone has secrets. Even the sweetest has a bitter edge."
"Well I mean, I played a double life for over thirty years, so I get that, but I also have trust issues and currently those are a bad thing," Tolkalee sighed. "We need to be able to trust each other, if we're going to be watching each other's backs."
Hinata nodded.
"When we're done, if we don't get kicked out, I'll show you one of my secrets."
"And to be fair I'll explain one of mine, cause I can't exactly show you from here," Tolkalee said. He'd recovered a bit from having escaped Cronos' time stop, and wasn't shaking anymore. "Let's go, I'm pretty sure everyone's asleep by this point."
Hinata nodded.
"I saw a door to the top floor."
"Yeah, that's where I'm wanting to check," Tolkalee said.
Matthew walked upstairs to check on Hinata and Tolkalee. He opened Tolkalee’s door slightly with a bottle of cold water at hand.
Looking left and right in Tolkalee’s room, he didn’t find a single person in there. Matthew thought that maybe he went out for a walk like Cronos did, as they do have some similarities. He was going to go into Hinata’s room, until he realized that that would be classified as “not respecting privacy”. He chose to go back downstairs to Cassius who was waiting on the first floor.
Tolkalee, heard the sound of someone walking around quietly outside the rooms, and went silent. He waited until the person left before making a decision. "You stay here, I'll go check it out, I'll let you know what I find, there's no point in the possibility of us both getting caught," without giving Hinata the chance to object, he climbed out the window and up the side of the house. Not wanting to risk getting seen by whoever was wandering around up there.
Through the curtains of the fourth floor, not a lot was visible. All that is present would be slight stains on the floor and curtains, this floor wasn’t as clean as the others.
Tolkalee climbed up to the forth floor window, he pressed on the window, and pulled on it as well. There wouldn't be any pulling it out. He pushed up on it, locked. So he decided to peer inside and let his eye adjust enough that he could see.
The room was dark but stains of crimson were visible. Somethings’ shadows were visible by the walls and floor.
That's blood, Tolkalee thought to himself. He was all to familiar with how it looked. The shadows were a bit more difficult to distinguish, though he figured if there was blood that probably meant that the shadows were bodies of something. Human or otherwise, he couldn't tell, and he couldn't positive they even were bodies. It was just a guess based on the blood.
A hand reached to tap Tolkalee’s shoulder from behind. “Hey there…” Cassius said with a chilling voice and flashed crimson caduceuses in his eyes, giving Tolkalee a sinister grin.
"Hello," Tolkalee turned to look at him, his voice even and calm. "Wanna explain what this is?" he asked, as if he was in control of the situation. Though in all likely hood he'd probably end up getting thrown to the ground. Four stories down.
Vein like strings emerged from Cassius’ back, grabbing Tolkalee’s body and throwing him through the window. Another figure was already in the room, placing his foot on Tolkalee’s head and pressing down to the ground. Cassius came into the room, following him were two other figures; Cronos and Intharachit. “Well…this sure is a weird situation…” Matthew said as he pressed his foot on Tolkalee’s neck, attempting to break it.
By the walls and on the floor, bodies amongst bodies of people are scattered around. Some of their body parts were ripped out, bitten by something or just ended up here without a soul inside.
Yep, that wasn't smart, Tolkalee sighed internally. Externally, he could barely breathe, and was about to get his neck broken. "Yeah, I would say it's an odd situation," he managed to wheeze. "Like why didn't you just explain, instead of causing curiosity and knowing that someone would check it out? Or did you want that to happen?"
Matthew pressed his foot down a little stronger. “Why do you think I phrased everything I said about this house the way I did…?” Matthew explained to Tolkalee while Cronos and Cassius got out their staffs and Intharachit got out his bow. Matthew lifted his foot up and kicked Tolkalee’s neck so that it will end up near Cassius; having Cassius pierced his neck with the staff he just summoned, sending a crimson aura into his body.
Tolkalee, in tremendous pain, refused to make a sound. Knowing that even if he did it would do nothing but amuse the people in here. Which he hating doing, he hated giving people the pleasure of pained cries and and pleas for mercy.
Cassius dragged his staff around with Tolkalee’s neck on it. Two wolves appear behind Matthew; one was fiery red and one was crystal blue. They looked hungry and were possibly ready to devour Tolkalee’s body if need be.
Suddenly out of reflex, Tolkalee swung his arm up, grabbed the staff, and pulled himself free. Pain like lightning shot all through him, but he blocked it out. He was on his feet, with his dagger in hand facing the people around him. Turning slowly to identify each of the people in the room. Cassius, Matthew, Cronos, and the dude from earlier, Intharachit. Wonderful.
Cassius’ vein like strings got a grasp on Tolkalee’s body, holding him up. Intharachit pulled back his bow, firing it, the arrow turned into a green and golden Phaya Naga (Mythical Creature) and was aimed straight for Tolkalee’s heart.
Now would have been a good time to call for help. He should have brought Hinata with him. But now was not the time to think about that, right now he had to find a way out of this mess. Time had slowed, he wasn't sure if he'd slowed time or if Cronos had, but it was slowed, and he took this time to think. He decided on something crazy, and let the arrow hit.
(That might have been smart…if those Phaya Naga arrows acted like normal arrows…)
After the Phaya Naga hit him, smaller versions of the Naga slowly ate Tolkalee from the inside out and returned to Intharachit. The small Nagas left several holes in all parts of Tolkalee’s body; his chest, his arms, his legs and his neck, causing ridiculous amounts of blood to pour out. Cassius’ vein like strings threw Tolkalee’s body to the ground, pressing the staff on his back.
