Savannah barely slept, but felt more energetic than usual. Perhaps it was because her sleep wasn't ridiculed by constant nightmares, or the nervous energy and tension that she felt, because today she would risk her life for a good cause. She quickly got dressed, wandering a bit out of her room before finding the prince, dressed in leather armor.
"Morning, your highness." Savannah said, tiredness tugging at her annoyingly.
Elias didn't acknowledge her. He didn't acknowledge anyone until all of the volunteers had arrived. "Your armor has been laid out for you. Dress in it quickly. There are weapons here as well, anything you could think of. Choose your favorites, choose them wisely. Bags have already been packed for you all, strapped to the horses waiting for us in the courtyard. We will ride until we reach the terrain where our horses will no longer be able to function, the north. It will take us a week's ride to reach the border." The Prince spoke in a firm, commanding voice. With a wave of his hand, the armor and weapons were placed in front of the volunteers.
Sarose hummed. "Is there any alchemy ingredients here? I need them to make healing salves and such." He said bluntly, frankly not caring if he was speaking to royalty or not. If he was going to do this, he was going to get ingrediants.
Rosalynn stepped neatly over the pool of blood spreading on the floor and left the house, not looking back. She pulled her jacket and boots off and replaced them with less suspicious looking ones before running towards the castle. She was late.
Elias raised an eyebrow at the boy who dared to speak to her in such a way. If he had been feeling particularly unpleasant, he would have had the guards strip him and whip him, but for the sakes of their journey ahead, he let it slide. "Whatever you need will be provided for you. Write it down on a slip of paper and it will be added to your things. Quickly now, or we'll leave without it."
Rose burst into the room. She was panting slightly.
Kendra strolled in, quietly looking over the armor and picking out what she saw fit for her purposes. She chose leather, as she was not familiar with metal, and then scanned the weapons. She looked for a crossbow and swords, and grunted as she spotted them. She checked the crossbow's recoil and firing speed, then checked the sharpness and finesse of the twin swords.
Thomas picked some armor (he didn’t know much about armor so it was a bit mismatched). For a weapon he picked a bow.
Liya looked at her armor is mild delight, it was similar to the one that she wore during her nightly assassin duties. She put it on and grabbed her weapons, a bow and arrow, many knives, and a simple sword just incase.
(Wow. There are three mercenaries/assassins in the room.)
Rose grabbed a knife and some plain chain mail armor that she could easily hide under her clothes. She pulled a black bow from where it rested and slung it over her shoulder, as well as a few quiver of arrows. She slipped some small, sharp silver things into her sleeves and boots, and grabbed a pack.
Savannah picked a set of two swords, light enough to dual-wield, and wore some, not all, of a leather armor set. She pocketed some knives just in case, ready to leave.
(Which is why ot sucks that they cant be friends either lmao)
(lol, I think I have the only normal-sounding character…)
(They can…)
(Doesnt rose not like people though? That's why I said that)

(Oh, yeah, I got that. Sorry, I meant that Rose could eventually warm up to her.)
(Ok, I has an idea. Maybe Liya can point out that Rose has some blood on somewhere? Although I doubt t she would, considering she an assassin that knows how to hide her tracks lol)
(Maybe she can say something about Rose's hair, which she never does.)
(Sure. Has Rose joined the main group yet?)
(She's by the sharp things.)
Chrysa reached out and grabbed the glaive set in front of her. She had been trained to use a sword, but prefered a glaive if possible. She put on a light metal chestplate and left shoulder guard, for aesthetic purposes. She didn't really need anything else from the array of everything.
Liya walked back to the weapons and looked for a different sword. This one was too bulky and looked odd with the bow strung across her back. She looked at the swords and realized someone else was there. "What is wrong with your hair?" Lita asked, looking at the girl
Thomas glanced around at the others. They all seemed to actually know something about fighting. All he’d done was shoot a few animals now and again with his bow. There was always one person who seemed less qualified than everyone else, and Thomas supposed that was him this time. He had a look of utter confusion on his face, embarrassingly enough.
Rose sent her a cold look. "What does it look like? I don't comb it."
"It's very rough looking. It'll get in the way of attacks if you dint maintain it." She said, facing the swords and picking up a smaller and thinner blade
Rose rolled her eyes. "So what? It's never bothered me before."
Kendra looked over to Thomas, noticing his confusion. She stepped up to him as she sheathed her swords and slung the crossbow strap around her shoulder, the weapon resting against her back. "Is there any particular area you are skilled in?" she asked calmly, gesturing to the weapons laid out before them. She spotted a few daggers and grabbed them as well, and an extra pack of bolts for her bow.
“I mean, I grabbed a bow?” he said, sounding unsure of himself. “But other than that I haven’t the slightest idea. I don’t know what kind of arrows are best or anything. I just grabbed some random stuff. Should I get a small knife or something too?” He was, in truth, grateful for her help and tried to show it in his slight smile.
