Though Tolkalee dropped his guard, he didn't put it away. In case of another attack. "Lets see, we got scythe dude, two ranger dudes, this dude, and the one that Aisen and I took out. That leaves two more doesn't it?"
Though Tolkalee dropped his guard, he didn't put it away. In case of another attack. "Lets see, we got scythe dude, two ranger dudes, this dude, and the one that Aisen and I took out. That leaves two more doesn't it?"
Desmond turned to Tolkalee. “You’ve got something wrong there buddy. There are three of the Hunters left…and for this dude and the one you and Ai took out—“ he paused “Corrupted Reincarnations of the Fallen Knights” he said to Tolkalee. “That one used Planet Projectiles right? That’s Asayura’s Corrupted form of Dusk and Dawn. And this…Nathan’s Corrupted form” he continued.
"So there are three left?" Tolkalee asked.
“If we’re counting the hunters, yes. But if we’re talking about these Corrupted Reincarnations…I have no idea how many of these are left. How many Knights have died, any idea?” Desmond asked Tolkalee and Aisen doubtfully.
"Like, 16 or more, I don't know the exact number," Tolkalee responded.
“If 16, then there are 20 left…” Desmond sighed.
A black and white axe came through the window and was aiming directly that Aisen who was upstairs.
"Well, then we should find them and keep them alive," Tolkalee said. "If there are only three of the enemy left, then the more we have together the better. Safety in numbers."
“Well, if sixteen of the active Knights are dead, that means there will be sixteen Corrupted Knights as well, based on their abilities…so, you took care of two of them, Luna told me she took out one of them…meaning currently, there are thirteen other Corrupted Knights out there that we need to worry about other than the three hunters” Desmond explained to Tolkalee.
Aisen deflected the axe, but was not prepared for a battle. “The hell?!” He yelled from upstairs.
Tolkalee heard the yell and turned towards the stairs. "That was Aisen," he was already running towards the stairs.
Desmond dashed after Tolkalee.
Aisen was blocking the attacks of the axe wielder quite easily, but had a hard time counterattacking. When Tolkalee arrived, he activated his Duality Zone he had prepared since the axe came in. The zone cancelled out the axe wielder’s ability and slowed him down. “Oi! Here!” Aisen sent the axe wielder flying towards Tolkalee with his blade.
Tolkalee caught the figure that came towards him with a side kick sending him reeling into a wall. "Are you hurt?" Tolkalee asked Aisen, as he advanced on the figure again.
“Definitely not” he dashed, following Tolkalee. He threw his black blade to pin the figure’s hand before he could move and grab his axe. He then activated the white blade’s Duality Zone as he went towards the figure.
Tolkalee ran forward, slamming his sword into the figure's chest, the tip sinking into the wall. He didn't remove his sword and jumped back pulling out his bow and drawing back an arrow. "Shall we?" he glanced at Aisen.
Aisen glared at Desmond who smiled at the axer. Desmond got out two of his hundred plus daggers and aimed at the figure. Aisen laughed slightly as his white blade had some aura surrounding it. “Catch, Desmond…” he sliced upwards against figure, sending his body towards Desmond. Desmond smiled, firing the two main daggers he held, followed by another set of them. The figure was sent to be right above Tolkalee. “Go ahead” Aisen said as he got his black blade back.
"Who's asking?" Lance sniffed.
The coated figure took off the upper hood he had on. “Edge Silver, host of Galactic Archery and guard of the Main Portal Hall” He introduced himself to Lance with a slight bow.
Tolkalee aimed up, and landed four arrows into the figure before it hit the ground. He then spun around facing it again, and put two more arrows in it. He drew back and held his third shot. "Would one of you like to do the honors?"
Desmond’s daggers all came back to his wings. “Go ahead, we still have to conserve energy” Aisen said to Tolkalee while sheathing both of his blades.
Tolkalee put the third arrow in the figure's head, and waited a moment to make sure they were dead.
"We just want to go home," Percy said. "May we please just leave with our brother? He has worked hard to get here!"
Galahad decided it was best not to mention that he was riding for days and the portal only opened when his mind turned to his siblings on the third day. He never actually got to where the portal was rumored to be, but he'd tell them after.
Edge—the guard of the Main Portal Hall—got out a pocket watch. “Well…if you can go to a Knight named Cassius and let him purify the both of you first—“ he gestured to Percy and Lance “—I can open the Main Portal for you…” he said to them before pausing. “But…I give you all only two hours to get that done, otherwise I will not open the portal for you…the Portal Hall is 5th floor down in the Central Hall, your time starts…Now” Edge explained before disappearing into thin air, leaving a star emblem on the ground.
Meanwhile, the axer disintegrated and left an artifact which reads Soul Candle. Aisen went to it and picked it up. “Five down, two more to go” he said to Tolkalee and Desmond with a slight smile.
Cassius and Matthew who were in one of the Portal Rooms in the Portal Hall decided to leave. Matthew opened up the same intra-portal, taking both of them back to the Celestial Hall where Tolkalee, Aisen and Desmond are.
Tolkalee reached down to pick up his sword, he glanced at Desmond. "Well, actually, there might be more than that left," he said.
Aisen looked confused. “What do you mean?” He asked Desmond to which he answered… ”Corrupted Reincarnations, you’ve met some of them. The ones of Jamie and Asayoru, while you were up here the corrupted one of Nathan came in and got slaughtered” “Oh…I see…” Aisen commented on that.
"Yeah, and just when we thought we were almost done," Tolkalee sighed. He suddenly looked around, the bad feeling he had came back. "Something's wrong," he whispered to himself.
"Didn't even tell us where Cassius is, that's fine!" Galahad grumbled.
"I don't think you should enchant your needle again, who knows what might happen next?" Lance warned.
"You're probably right. Let's see if he's around here somewhere."
The trio began wandering around the Central Hall to find Cassius or someone Cassius-adjacent. As expected, the Hall didn't have any map or directory in plain view.
Aisen noticed Tolkalee’s suspicion. “What’s wrong?” He asked, grabbing his blade’s handle just in case someone comes in.
Another Knight passed by Galahad and his siblings. He was wearing a plague doctor’s mask and a long black leather coat. He was heading somewhere and was possibly in a hurry, judging from his walking speed.
"HATEPUPETUH!" Galahad sputtered. "Excuse me, do you know where we might find someone named Cassius? We need him to 'purify us' or something like that so we can go home."
