"There's a matching one under my shirt, from a robbery gone wrong." Blue started, tapping out a beat on the steering wheel. "When I was gone over the summer, like I said, it just hit me. I'd almost died that night, and y'know, what's the harm in becoming a better version of yourself? Life's short I guess."
Ava looked over at the girl. Her eyes narrowed thoughtfully and she nodded. "Yeah, I get that."
Blue shrugged nonchalantly, not taking her eyes off the road. "Enough about my existential crisis, where do I go now?"
"Right at the next street," Ava said nonchalantly, picking at her nail.
"My turn to ask a question. Why'd you decide to help me?" Blue asked, glancing over at Ava for a split second.
Ava shrugged. "Dunno…"
"Wow, such an informative answer." Blue deadpanned, shaking her head.
"Well, I'm such an informative person," Ava replied sarcastically.
Blue snorted, glancing over at Ava. She didn't say anything, but the ghost of a smile played on her lips.
Ava tossed her cigarette silkily out the window. "Make a right up here."
"Sir yes sir." Blue nodded, doing as instructed. "Please tell me I'm not going t' end up with some sorta infection."
Ava laughed at this. "No, you're good. One guy did, but that was when this place first opened up."
"Figurin' out sanitation shit, got it." Blue nodded. "I can get that. If this…is a thing, now, you should tell me more about you."
Ava arched her eyebrows. "A thing? What'do you mean by that?"
"You helping me with my list." Blue said, eyes focused on the road. "Y'know, the whole reason you're in my car right now? Unless you had something else in mind."
Ava looked Blue up and down a second, then shrugged. "Yeah, that thing."
Blue quirked an eyebrow, a slight flush creeping up her neck. "So? We could do twenty questions or some bullshit."
(You of all people suggesting 20 Questions…? Who are you, and what have you done with Sage?)
Ava looked over at Blue again and grinned when she saw her beginning to blush. "Something wrong?"

"Nope. Not at all. Why d'ya ask?" Blue refused to look over, fingers tapping nervously on the steering wheel.

"Cause you suddenly don't want to look at me, you're starting to blush, you're verifying your statement way too much than what's normal, your fingers are starting their own band…" Ava ticked off each one on her fingers.
"What are you, some sort of wanna-be detective?" Blue grumbled, forcing her fingers to pause. "I'm keeping my eyes on the road, like a good driver should." An ironic statement, considering how many times she'd almost hit other cars. "And I am not blushing."

Ava grinned and poked Blue's cheek teasingly. "Blushy blushy…"
"I'm not blushing." Blue grumbled, her blush just deepening at Ava's touch.
"Yes you are~" she sang slowly.
She wasn't even sure why she was blushing, but she guessed it had something to do with the fluttery feeling in her gut. "Nope. Liar."
Ava laughed. "So what? Maybe I am, but I'm not right now, let me tell you that."
Blue shook her head quickly, willing her blush to die down. "How am I supposed t' know you ain't lyin' now?"
Ava poked Blue's cheek. "Because I'm not."
Blue bit her bottom lip, her blush deepening quite a bit. She shook her head, not trusting herself to speak.
Ava smirked. "I'm going to have to start calling you Red now."
