Cameron was relaxing in a heavy jacket and a pair of jeans similar to hers, with a pair of boots. He was quite ready for the cold.
"Yeah, ready to go," He called, poking his head out of the foyer.

Ava shoves her phone and wallet into her back pocket before moving over to him. “Okay, let’s get going then,” She says with a loop sided smile. It’s been a while since she’s actually been shopping so this should be an interesting experience.
Cameron grabbed up his own wallet and his keys, popping them into the jacket pockets and leading the way out to the snow-covered ground. He sighed into the air, unlocking his car and ducking under, opening it for her from the inside.
Ava walks through the snow, the white fluff crunching beneath her boots. When the door opens up, she hops inside and buckles up. “It’s fucking cold out there,” She mutters, rubbing her hands together.
Cameron started the car, turning up the heat right away. "It sure as hell is, Ava. Don't need to tell me twice," He said with a meek chuckle, setting the car into drive and moving forward out of the driveway.
Ava shoots him an unimpressed look. When the heat is cut on, she sighs a little. “I miss Aruba,” She mutters dramatically, fondly thinking back to those memories. What she would give to be back there for a week or two. Hell, she’d even kill for just one day.
"Aruba," Cameron repeated, deciding not to spare her a glance when she glared at him. He wasn't sure why she liked the heat of countries so far out. He would take the cold and snow over heat and sun.
“Mmhm,” Ava confirms with a nod. “I lived there for a few months. It was beautiful,” She sighs, peering out the window and glaring with disdain at the snow. “I wish I was there now. Or Bora Bora, or Fiji, or the Bermuda, or Tahiti. Anywhere tropical and sunny.”
Cameron faned himself a bit with a sigh. "I don't know. I feel like somewhere too tropical would just be a pain. So many bugs and nastiness. The winter is kind of a break from all of that humidity, mosquitoes, and other awful things."
“Winter is awful. Snow and sleet cover the roads and then the cold always gets people sick. There is nothing good about winter,” Ava tells him, shaking her head. “Just look out there. It’s a special kind of hell.”
"No, people get sick because they turn up the heat in their homes and bacteria grows. It has nothing to do with the cold," Cameron corrected pointedly. "Besides, there are mosquitoes, and ticks and thunderstorms. Ugh."
“It has everything to do with the cold. If it weren’t so damn frigid outside then they wouldn’t have to turn up their heat,” Ava scoffs at him. “Don’t be such a baby. Bug spray takes care of the mosquitoes and ticks.” She doesn’t make a comment on the thunderstorms since she does hate those.
"Not all of them. A bunch just fucking land on you anyway and bite you," Cameron muttered bitterly. He had gotten his fair share of mosquito bites and even tick bites after hiking when he was younger. This sprouted an unholy hatred for the flying, nasty, insects.
“One of these days I’m going to drag you somewhere sunny and tropical just so I can show you just how great it is,” Ava tells him, confident that she can get him to change his opinion. Peering out of the window, she wonder where the hell they are. The snow makes it impossible to see.
"No. We live here where the summer is hot enough. I can't imagine a tropical heat. Ugh." He shook his head but immedately stopped when he had to turn. The brunet seemed to know exactly where he was.
“Come on. It would be fun. The dogs can play on the beach and we could go zip lining or something.” Her eyes brighten at just the thought of it. Cold weather just doesn’t agree with her. She’ll take an island any day of the week.
"Zip-lining?" He asked, glancing at her once. He didn't have the balls to admit to her that 1) he was afraid of heights and 2) he was not leaving Lily on her own on a beach. "I guess. But I think we live in a tropical enougn area."
“You are no fun,” She tells him, shaking her head. “Zip-lining is great. A monkey climbed on my shoulders one time.” That trip had been a blast. “Are we almost there? I can’t see a damn thing with all of that white shit out there.”
Cameron just gritted his teeth together as she spoke, shaking his head again. "I don't like heights. And yeah, we're almost there, don't diss snow, just cus you can't see in it. You're just angry cus all the points I've brought up defending it are right."
“Don’t you set up your sniper’s nests on rooftops?” Ava questions, looking over to him. “None of the points you’ve brought up are even good. Snow sucks. It’s cold and it makes life a living hell,” She huffs, stretching out a little.
Cameron huffed softly. "Just because I'm afraid of heights doesn't mean I can't stomach the fear of them. Right. But you're just being stubborn. Winter is so much better than summer and that's a fact." He pulled in at the mall's abandoned parking lot and parked.
“I’ll admit that over my dead body,” Ava insists, refusing to admit that there’s a single good thing about winter. When the car comes to a stop, she pulls on her gloves and climbs out, her feet landing in some snow. She grumbles bitterly for a few moments as she tries to figure out where Cameron is so she doesn’t loose him in all of the white.
Cameron took the keys from the car and rose from the car with a faint yawn, shutting the door and climbing over the snow to her.
"Oi, come on, lazy bones. I'm going in," He called to her as he walked by, his feet crunching the snow.
Ava grabs onto his jacket sleeve and hangs on for dear life. “Don’t leave me behind, asshole,” She grumbles, trailing after him. “You know what type of coffee maker to get?” She asks, hoping that they won’t have to spend a lot of time in here.
Cameron ignored her will for him to basically slow down, and kept up the strides until he was inside and walking down the empty white hall of the mall.
"Not yet. I want a damn good one, though."
Ava refuses to let go of him until they’re safely inside. “Fuck snow!” She exclaims, peeling off her gloves and stuffing them into her pocket. At least the heat in this joint works. “Which store?” She’s never been in this wall before so she has no idea where anything is.
Cameron rolled his eyes at her dramatic anger, sticking his hands into his pockets. "There's one on the top floor we're gonna try first," He decided, glancing at her. "Are you sure you're alright? You look like you're freezing. Need an extra layer or anything?" He asked, just out of concern for his friend.
Ava grabs onto his arm and presses up against him. “No, I don’t need an extra layer. You’re warm enough. Thanks for the offer,” She tells him, refusing to have to deal with putting on another jacket or coat. What she has on should be more than enough as long as she stays close to him.
Cameron huffed softly at her and paused, taking off his jacket and wrapping it around her shoulders, zipping it up without the need for her to put her arms through. "There, now you're as snug as a bug." He continued walking, sticking his hands back into his jean pockets as he approached the tall escalators.
“I told you that I was fine,” Ava mutters, trailing after him. She has to admit that his jacket is really warm. Stepping onto the escalator, she glances up to try and get a peek at the next level. “How many floors is this thing?” She questions, wanting to know what she’s getting herself into.
