“Mmph,” slipped the surprises sound from Amber’s lips as William suddenly slammed his into them. She had wanted nothing more than a peck on the lips, but of course he had to go and make her want more by kissing her like this. Her lips moved against his for a moment before she forced herself to pull away, taking a couple of breaths before slowly sitting back down in her seat. “I just wanted something soft and short, but that definitely worked…”
William shot her a smirk at her reaction. Yes, he knew she wanted a short one. He also knew she wanted more once he did that. But of course she showed restraint. She was better at it, anyway.
“Come back here, then,” he said breathlessly. “I’ll give you a soft and short kiss.”
Amber narrowed her eyes at him, knowing what he was trying to do. A hint of desire flashed across her eyes before she stifled it, waiting for later.
“When we get home, maybe. The. You can give me as many kisses as you want,” she hummed, her own smirk pulling on her lips.
A hint of desire clouded her eyes and William felt the smirk widen. Then she covered it up and pulled a smirk of her own. He kept his up even after her words.
“You have only this chance,” he said with a shrug. “I won’t kiss you when we get home, no matter how much you tell me to otherwise.”
“… I hate you sometimes,” Amber murmured.
Rather than lean over the table again — that kinda hurt, actually — she slid from her side of the table and into his. Once she was sitting right beside him, she blinked up at him, innocent but expecting.
“I love you, too~“ William winked, smirking when she sat down beside him, looking up at him expectantly. He bent down and firmly clasped their lips together softly.
He pulled away just as quickly.
“There. Your soft and simple kiss.”
Amber hummed and tugged him back down into another, releasing him just as quickly as he had her. And then she was up and in her own seat again before he could respond. “Thank you, love.”
William merely winked at her before he signaled a waiter. They ordered and waited for their food to arrive.
“Give me your hand,” William said, holding out his own, looking at Amber expectantly.
“Why?” A simple question, spoken with simmering curiosity. Amber’s eyebrows furrowed, eyes narrowed once more. What was he trying to do…?
William looked at her with an eyebrow raised. “Because I want to hold it,” he rolled his eyes, “Why else?”
“I don’t know. You’re mischievous sometimes. I’m just being cautious,” Amber chuckled softly, shaking her head as she reached over for his hand.
“I’m not planning on chopping off your hand,” William chuckled, bringing her hand to his lips and pressing a short kiss to it. “I love it too much.”
“I didn’t think you were,” Amber said, her tube amused as she grinned across the table at him softly. “But who knows what kinds of plans you’ve got spinning around up there.”
“I’m flattered you think of me that way,” William chuckled, winking at her. “Don’t worry. I won’t do anything terrible.”
Amber hummed, rolling her eyes. “Good. You can wait until we get home to do something ‘terrible.’”
“We both know that something ‘terrible’ is something ‘amazing,’” William winked. “But yeah, we should wait to get home to do that.”
Amber chuckled and squeezed his hand. “All right, love. Now, why don’t we talk about the apartment? I know you said you wouldn’t mind moving in with me, but you also did suggest getting a new one… Would you maybe want to look for some, and then we can visit them and see how we like them? If we like one better, then we could move in there.”
William squeezed her hand back. “I can do that, yeah. I’ll try to find some apartments and we can check them out.”
“Sounds good. Let me know when you’ve found a few, and we can call either my or your real estate agent,” Amber said with a smile. “Then we can set up times to visit them.”
“Sounds good,” William hummed. “And if we can’t find one, I’ll move in your apartment.”
Amber’s smile widened. “Perfect. I can’t wait. It’s going to be an adventure.”
“Trust me, love, it’s going to be a wild adventure,” William winked. “It’s going to be fun.”
Amber rolled her eyes with a chuckle. “Everything is wild with you, Will.”
“Are you complaining, Blue?” William chuckled, eyes crinkling in amusement.
“Far from it. You make my life incredibly interesting, you know,” Amber replied, her voice amused.
“I’m glad. You make my life very colorful, too, Blue,” William smiled at her.
“Well, I should if my name is Blue,” Amber chuckled softly. “You know what we should do sometime? Make music again.”
“I like that idea,” William hummed. “I missed making music with you.”
“So did I. It was fun. Maybe later this weekend, when neither of us has to work,” Amber mused.
“I’m free on Saturday,” William said, stretching. Just then, the waiter arrived with their food.
