Tolkalee walked over to the house and opened the door. Walking in without a word and and melted into the background of the room again. Hoping that no one would notice him. Or if they did, they wouldn't talk to him.
Tolkalee walked over to the house and opened the door. Walking in without a word and and melted into the background of the room again. Hoping that no one would notice him. Or if they did, they wouldn't talk to him.
Hinata glanced at Tolkalee, then back to the house owner.
"Well, if you need me, I'll be outside."
The figure came back downstairs with a messenger bag. The figure grabbed the mask and left, shutting the door loudly again. Jamie sighed after the figure left.
Hinata flinched at the bang.
"Dang kids."
"Friendly guy," Tolkalee commented dryly.
Another knock on the door can be heard, this time much softer than Tanner’s. Jamie walked to the door and opened it. “Oh, Matthew, long time no see” he held the door for the new figure. He had a long navy colored coat on him and an umbrella with similar hues. He walked in and settled on the couch.
"Eh, no concern of me." Hinata gave a smirk.
"So, you still wanna do the mission?"
"I went and scoped the place out from the outside already," Tolkalee whispered only loud enough for Hinata to hear. "It's heavily fortified."
"Well, we could handle it." Hinata looked at the newcomer, sitting on the couch.
"This place seems popular."
The new figure who just came in unzipped his coat and an amber colored cat jumped out of it. The cat looked around and jumped on Jamie excitedly.
"I noticed," Tolkalee sighed. "Shall we introduce ourselves?"
The cat noticed two strangers at the back of the room and hissed. The newcomer looked back and asked Jamie calmly “Who are they?” “Heh, they’re just guests, they’re staying here for now” the house owner answered.
Hinata shrugged.
"Sure. He has a cat. I like cat people."
Hinata hissed right back at the cat.
The cat ran and jumped at Hinata, but instead of biting her, it got a grab on her neck and started licking her rather…aggressively.
Hinata laughed.
"Oh my god, it tickles!! STAP!!" She laughed again. Hinata's hair bounced, landing on the cat.
The cat owner stood up and walked to get his cat. He grabbed the cat “C’mon Kohaku, don’t be so aggressive to a stranger”. The cat had a slightly sulky face…even though it was a cat…
(Do I sense something going on that isn't what it first appears to be?)
Hinata finally got control of her laughter.
"That's the hardest I've laughed in years.." She smiled.
"Name's Hinata."
The cat owner still holding his cat bowed once.
“Name’s Matthew Syrain, and this is Kohaku, my cat” he said as he held his cat’s right arm up and waved it slightly.
(And…what is that you are sensing…?)
Hinata giggled.
"Oh my god, that's adorable." Hinata felt a pang of sadness. He reminded her of her husband. He was at home, probably worry his head off about her.
("The cat had a slightly sulky face…even though it was a cat…" what's the elipses for? :) )
(No, the cat isn’t human…but it is indeed something more than just a regular cat :P )
The cat meowed at Hinata. “What is it Haku?” He asked the cat, knowing well he won’t answer. The cat jumped out of Matthew’s grasp and jumped onto Hinata’s shoulder, sitting like the well-behaved good boy that he is.
Hinata giggled again.
"God, it's been forever since someone's done this." Hinata was reminded of her cat, Ayumu. Of course, Ayumu usually only did it to yell in her ear.
Kohaku noticed the lonely Tolkalee, he jumped from Hinata’s shoulder to Tolkalee’s head and gnawed on his hair softly with a face insisting that he’s pleased with himself.
Matthew, the cat owner, turned to his cat and sighed then turned back to Hinata. “You have a cat as well?” He asked Hinata, wanting to know a little bit more about her.
"Yeah. His name is Ayumu, cause he literally came to me in a dream." Hinata shrugged.
"Magic cats, ya gotta love 'em."
“Nice name! For Kohaku…uh, well, his name already explains itself” he shrugged and laughed.
Hinata smiled. She liked Matthew.
"So, where'd ou get him?"
