"Thanks." Hinata headed into the backyard. There, she sat on the swing and pulled out a cigar. After a few moments, she was happily puffing away her worries.
"Thanks." Hinata headed into the backyard. There, she sat on the swing and pulled out a cigar. After a few moments, she was happily puffing away her worries.
Tolkalee shook his head to the food offered to him. "No thanks, I'm not hungry right now."
Chris, the plague doctor, finished the meal before anyone else did. “I’ll be going now…” he said to the others as he put on his steampunk suit, mask and hat. “See you all around…I’ll be back for dinner Jamie…” he laughed before exiting through the backdoor, waving to Hinata on the way back to the Royal Building.
“O-Oh…uh, well then…I’ll keep these just in case someone else comes here” Jamie said in a low tone.
Tolkalee felt kind of bad, but he really wasn't hungry. Which was odd considering he'd fought five battles now, and had used a lot of energy.
Cassius finished the meal soon after Luna did. They both stood up and thanked Jamie for the meal then left, leaving only Jamie, Hinata and Tolkalee in the house. “So…may I ask what brings you to the Labyrinth?” Jamie asked Tolkalee as he was doing the dishes.
Chris walked to the Royal Building but saw Adara on the way there. He got curious and walked towards her, still fully suited and scary as hell.
"You know, I haven't figured out why I came yet. I guess it was because I wanted to see my friend, but I really don't think that was the actual reason I came," Tolkalee thought about it for a moment. And shook his head when he couldn't think of a reason.
Jamie kept the dishes and cups back where they’re supposed to be. “Don’t worry about thinking of a reason, sometimes the best answer is just to not answer at all…” he said as he cleaned the table. He then walked to a cabinet by the couch to get some things.
Tolkalee shook his head again. "I will say however. The other Knights in this place are super nice." He rubbed the wound that was still healing by his heart.
Hinata was nearly finished with her cigar. Stretching as the last wisps curled around her, she sighed. She had become familiar with sighs; they seemed to escape her more and more.
Jamie laughed a little. “Well, not a lot of them are as chill as we are. You’ve met Connor, haven’t you?” He asked as he grabbed some files and papers from the cabinet.
"If you're talking about the Conner that skewered me eight times, then yes I have," Tolkalee scoffed. He crossed his arms and let his shoulders relax a bit.
Jamie smirked. “That’s normal for him. Anyways, there’s a spare room upstairs if you need one. Cassius, our healer, won’t be back ‘til the evening so take a nap if you need to or go outside and talk to your friend’s spirit again” he said, making sure that Tolkalee could hear the last bit clearly.
"What are you playing at?" Tolkalee dropped into a low suspicious tone. He looked at Jamie through a narrow eye.
Jamie smiled at Tolkalee with the files in his hand. “Well, the Labyrinth isn’t that merciless when it comes to you meeting your dead comrades and/or family members. Every night, the system kinda resets itself, meaning you have one hour to meet the spirits per day for as long as you stay here” he explained.
"Well in that case, I am not going to go find him. I would however like to go for a bit," he began making his way around the room towards the door.
Jamie arranged the files on the table. “By go, where are you going? If it’s somewhere near the Central Hall, I’ll go with you ‘cause I work there as well” he insisted.
"I just planned on walking around outside, I'm not ready to go back to the Central Hall yet. I just need to clear my head for a bit," he replied. "I'll take your offer into consideration though."
Jamie looked at the clock. “Well, I might need to go now. I’ll be back soon, I just to deliver and collect some things” he said as he walked out the door.
Tolkalee watched him leave, then he made his way out to Hinata.
Jamie arrived at the Research Building. He walked into the laboratory to be met with Officer Scientist and Knight H, Asher.
“Oh hey Jamie” Asher greeted the former Knight. Jamie then walked to the storage within the laboratory. He kept the files and documents that were on him in the storage.
Asher got some other documents from a box and handed it to Jamie. “What are these…?” Jamie asked, as the files were dusted. “Those are your generation’s documents, you didn’t take them with you last time. Keep them with you” Asher suggested. “Oh, okay, thanks” Jamie said as he took the documents and started walking back to his house.
Another figure knocked on Jamie’s door. “Hello…? Is anyone home?” he knocked again. “Hello?”
Jamie came back to his house to see a figure in a black hoodie standing in front of his house. The figure turned to Jamie…
“I’m back!” Jamie shouted as he opened the door. The figure in the black hoodie walked in after Jamie did.
Hinata walked back into the house.
"That's good." She still smelled faintly of smoke.
The figure in the black hoodie looked pass Jamie’s shoulder, he had a full faced gas mask on and had black hair with lines of green. The figure stared at Hinata with a threatening vibe for a while…he was most likely not friendly.
Hinata glared back.
"And you are?"
The figure didn’t answer, rather he looked back to Jamie. Jamie nodded at him. He then took off his mask and greeted Hinata with a raspy voice. “The name is Tanner Chardonnay, twelfth Knight G, host of Toxin Secretion” he said before setting the mask on the table in the dining table with his left hand in his pocket.
Hinata didn't like how he was talking to her, but she ignored it.
"Name's Hinata Hayashi, Balance-Keeper of the Multiverse, oldest being in existence."
“Hey Jamie, where the hell is that thing I asked you to get?!” He asked (yelled at) Jamie. Jamie gestured upstairs, “Second room from the left”. The figure didn’t waste time, he went upstairs and went into the room, shutting the door loudly.
