"Ah, eidetic memories are great." Peggy muttered to herself with a snort.
"Ah, eidetic memories are great." Peggy muttered to herself with a snort.
"I suppose," Atiena shrugged. She figured it might be time to mess with her, "Of course I could be Atiena's twin that's pretending to be her."
"Let's just go back to the tower," Klaus interjected, rubbing his side lightly.
"You most definitely could." Peggy nodded seriously, kicking open the door with her foot. "Onward!"
Atiena nodded and sighed watching the door be kicked open, "Onward, I suppose."
He raised the crutch up in mock valor, wielding it like a longsword.
She snickered, helping him out onto the sidewalk. "We got so lucky this place is right across."
"I wouldn't be able to make it if it was any farther," he admitted.
"I wouldn't assume so with your injuries," Ateina said looking at them, "The Starks did an average job at fixing you up. Not great, but not awful."
"Rude. Plus, that was Adam, not my dad or I." Peggy said, feigning offense. "He's an honorary Stark."
"Using your AI is no excuse Peggy," Atiena responded.
"It ain't that big of a deal," he said, scratching the back of his head.
"I'm not a doctor, dude. I can barely put a band-aid on right." Peggy said, shaking her head. "He tried his best, and did the best he could. Y'all are way ahead of us, but we make do."
Silas just hopped along "my dad might be coming over soon. Tell your dad not to annoy him too much." He grinned
Atiena grumbled to herself, “You would think after years with access to our tech the world would be a bit further.”
Damon smirks "what do friends call you? G?"
"Um, no. My real name's Guinevere, but I go by Gwen." She rolls her eyes, unimpressed, and notices the group of people following Peggy.
Are you kidding me? This girl has people freaking surrounding her like her old man!
"Mr. Stark is too stubborn," Klaus guessed. "He wants to get to your level on his own."
"I suppose," Atiena responded with some thought, "But it will still take him quite a while."
Silas nodded "wakandan tech is the best of the best."
"There is no doubt about that," Atiena nodded.
"Can't deny that." Peggy said, pausing at the sidewalk to adjust her grip on Klaus.
"So, what are we going to do once we get back to the tower?"
"Well, y'all can hang out in the rec-room and shit, just stay out of the lab." Peggy said, stepping out into the street to cross. "I've got a fight to deal with."
"I'm coming. I need to let Acel out for a bit or he will drive me crazy."
He glanced over at Peggy. "Get out of there before shit gets real, please."
She looked over at him, studying him for a moment before she looked forward again. "Yeah, alright."
He felt…..weird. An emotion he couldn't really describe. He felt….worried for what could happen to Peggy.
"You do realize I can handle myself, right?" She raised an eyebrow, not quite at him. "What's the worst that could happen?"
"You could roll up in your metal suit and she snaps your neck with no remorse," he said dryly.
"Funky." Peggy said, nodding. " 'Kay, maybe, but where's your faith?"
