Liam had in fact, fallen asleep in his chair, head resting in one hand and a pen resting against a notepad in the other. Scribbled on the page, was a bunch of crossed out words before the name John Hudson was circled and underlined near the bottom.
Kasey smiled when she noticed Liam sleeping. She glanced down at his paper, blinking at the name. John Hudson… Someone she’d have to get into contact with, she supposed.
“Liam… Babe, wake up,” she whispered, gently tapping his shoulder. “Let’s go to bed.”
Liam jumped ever so slightly, blinking a few times and rubbing at his face before he smiled up at Kasey, "Yeah, bed sounds good."
“C’mon,” Kasey murmured with a soft chuckle. “Turn the computer off. We can cuddle for a bit.”
Liam nodded, doing as she said. He left the notebook by the computer for the morning as he stood, sighing tiredly.
Kasey walked to the bedroom with Liam. When they reached it, she closed the door behind them, then made her way to her dresser.
“I’m just going to put pajamas on. If you wanted to change, too, you can.”
Liam nodded, yawning, "Okay."
He stripped out of his clothes, pulling on a clean pair of boxers and sweatpants. He sighed, flopping down on the bed face first.
Kasey stepped into the bathroom before Liam undressed. Once she was changed, she went back into the bedroom and tossed her clothes in the hamper. She blushed upon seeing Liam shirtless on the bed, though she made no comment on it. Instead, she simply laid down beside him, looking up at the ceiling.
“It’s been a long day,” she murmured. “I’m sorry I cut your time short at the cemetery…”
"It's fine." Liam rolled onto his side, rubbing his face with one hand, "I'll just… visit another time. Stopping Matt should be the focus right now."
“Yeah. It should,” Kasey murmured, scooting slightly closer to Liam. “Still up for cuddles?”
Liam cracked a small smile, opening his arms as an invitation for Kasey to come even closer, "Always."
Kasey smiled and shifted into his arms. She buried her face in his chest, wrapping an arm around Liam.
“I love you,” she murmured.
Liam wrapped his arms around her in return, cradling his fingers through her hair, "I love you too."
“I want this to be over,” Kasey sighed without lifting her head. “And then I want to just be a normal person for a while…”
Liam smiled sympathetically, "I know beautiful, I know. Once Matt is behind bars why don't we go for a holiday? Or just a weekend away?"
Kasey nodded slowly. “Okay… A vacation sounds nice,” she sighed into his chest. “I could use one.”
“Me too,” He kissed the top of her head, continuing to play with her hair, “You more then me.”
Kasey shook her head, though only a little due to Liam’s fingers in her hair. “You need it pretty badly, too. We both need it equally.”
Liam sighed softly. He didn't want to argue so he agreed instead, "Okay gorgeous. We both need the holiday and I'll organise everything so you don't have to worry."
“Are you sure? You don’t want me to help at all?” Kasey asked quietly, pulling away just enough to look up at him. “I wouldn't mind.”
"I want this to be as stress free for you as possible," Liam smiled at her, "Trust me, okay?"
Kasey hummed, resting her head on his chest again. “All right… Thank you, babe…”
“There’s no need to thank me,” Liam replied, resting his chin atop her head.
Kasey woke up to the feeling of Liam’s arms around her, and she smiled. She curled closer, burying her face in his chest. If she could just stay that way forever, she would be happy.
Liam felt her move, making him shift slightly. He pulled Kasey closer to himself if possible at this point, making sure she was secure in his arms.
Kasey hummed when Liam tightened his arms around her. She smiled a little, then shifted to lightly kiss his chest.
“G’morning,” she mumbled sleepily.
