“Work can wait,” Amber grumbled, mentally cursing his hot just-woke-up voice.
“Work can wait,” Amber grumbled, mentally cursing his hot just-woke-up voice.
"Fair enough," William cleared his hoarse throat, tightening his hold on her. "You're welcome to go back to sleep."
Amber hummed and cracked an eye open. “I wish I could, but I’m awake now. And hungry. We should go get lunch after getting dressed…”
William sighed heavily. "All right, lunch it is," he muttered. "Where do you want to go?"
“Anywhere… Unless it’s a seafood place. Maybe something Italian?” Amber suggested with a shrug.
"Italian sounds perfect," William muttered into her hair. "I'm dying for some garlic bread. It's heavenly."
Amber hummed her agreement, smiling as she thought about it. “That definitely sounds good right now. Italian it is, then.”
“Then get up and wear your clothes,” William’s eyes shut again. “I prefer you being naked in my presence alone.”
Amber snorted and smacked him in the chest. “Of course I’m going to wear clothes in public. The only place that I won’t is the shower or bedroom, thanks very much.”
“Or the apartment,” William added under his breath, chuckling when she smacked him. “I love you, Blue.”
“Mostly the bedroom or bathroom, though,” Amber muttered back, having caught his first words and narrowing her eyes at him. “I love you, too, smart-aleck.”
William pulled himself up, pinning his girlfriend on the bed. “You love this smart-aleck, though,” he said quietly, his eyes narrowed as he pecked her on the mouth. “You hardly think of me as irritating.”
“Oh, no. You’re not irritating. More… infuriating. You drive me crazy, Will,” Amber breathed, her eyes wide in surprise as she looked up at him, her heart beating fast. “And if you want to get going soon, you should let me up. Otherwise, we’re going to be here a while.”
William smirked down at her, pressing their foreheads together. “It’s my job, isn’t it? To drive you crazy,” he whispered. “But you’re right. I should get off of you.”
“Yes, you should. Because I fully blame you if we don’t leave within the hour,” Amber murmured, her eyes flashing with a meaningful light. “Not that it would be a bad thing, but we should probably at least wait until tonight if we want to go again.”
William chuckled, kissing her mouth again and rolling off of her. “Tonight sounds perfect for me,” he hummed. “But we both have work tomorrow, don’t we?”
“Yes, we do,” Amber confirmed, pushing herself into a sitting position. “What about it?”
“That means I have to make sure not to exhaust you too much,” his eyes fell over her body as she sat up. “I don’t want you tired and unable to walk the next day.”
Amber hummed, smirking as she noticed where his gaze landed. “See something you like, love?”
William grinned wickedly. “I do~” he winked. “Now get up and get dressed.”
Amber chuckled, licking her lips as she leaned over and pulled the shirt from off the chair beside the bed. She slipped it over her head and slid out of bed. “Okay, where is the washing machine? You didn’t ever tell me.”
“It’s in the living room,” William responded, pulling her closer to him and kissing her mouth again. “C’mon, I’ll show you.”
“Me c’mon? I’m already standing. You’re not, hun,” Amber chuckled. “Also, if you’re going to kiss me, do it properly and let me kiss you back.”
“Maybe later,” William shrugged before pushing himself to his feet. He linked their fingers together and led her to the door, where they exited his bedroom. They stopped in front of another door in the living room. “This is the laundry room.”
“Rude,” Amber teased with a chuckle before she was led away. She nodded as they reached the room. “Great. Thanks, Will.”
“I think I’m going to take a shower,” William grimaced. “I’m sweaty and it feels gross.”
Amber turned to him and smirked. “I could join you. It would save water, after all,” she half-joked with a wink.
(Oof. I didn’t know you responded tk this.):
William quirked an eyebrow. “Come on, then,” he smirked. “Join me, love.”
(Oof. Lol. No worries.)
“Gladly,” Amber purred before pulling her clothes from the drier. “I’ll meet you there.”
William chuckled as he walked to his bathroom. “Don’t take too long, love,” he winked before he disappeared behind the door.
