“Later, though… For now, cuddling is lovely. I like laying here with you,” Amber hummed, kissing his cheek.
“Later, though… For now, cuddling is lovely. I like laying here with you,” Amber hummed, kissing his cheek.
“I do, too,” William pulled her closer. “Laying here with you.”
Amber sighed and curled up against him. “I’m so glad we bumped into each other the other day,” she murmured.
“Thank God for your work,” William muttered. “Made my search for you easier.”
Amber chuckled. “Yes, thank goodness for that. I don’t want to think about how long it would have taken otherwise…”
“Considering the fact that it took me nearly three years to run into you again, I don’t think I wanna find out,” William joked. “We’re together now, aren’t we, my Queen of Atlantis?”
“Queen of Atlantis? Why Atlantis?” Amber chuckled softly. “And we are most definitely together, love.”
William sighed heavily. “So you’ve forgotten that conversation,” he said dramatically. “I’ve yet to steal your laugh, too.”
Amber blinked and foreword her eyebrows, her gaze far away as she thought about it. Her lips moved slowly, as if she was trying to remember by mouthing the words over and over again.
“Queen of Atlan— Oh! Right, yeah. I remember that, now,” she finally laughed. “Good luck trying to steal my laughter, handsome.”
“There we go,” William nuzzled her cheek. “Well, I love your laughter, but only when you produce it. Stealing it wouldn’t be so effective.”
Amber hummed and buried her face in his neck. She pressed a soft kiss to the skin, just because, not to arouse or anything.
“Have I told you how much I love you lately?” she murmured.
William looked down at her, smiling softly. "Yes, you have," he responded. "But you're welcome to tell me again. I love hearing you say it."
Amber chuckled and pulled back to look at him with a smile. “I love you so much, Will. And I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you.”
“I love you, too, Blue,” William caressed her cheek softly. “And I can’t wait, either. The feeling’s mutual.”
Amber pressed their lips together for a moment. “Hm… You know what sounds great right now?” she hummed softly.
“What is it?” William looked down at her, running his fingers through her hair.
“Just… kissing. Softly. I like it when we do that, even when it doesn’t turn into anything more. Sometimes especially when it doesn’t turn into anything more,” Amber mused, leaning into his touch with half-lidded eyes.
“You don’t even need to ask…” William murmured, leaning down and softly clasping their lips together. His fingers removed themselves from her hair and instead cupped her cheek as he pushed himself on his elbows.
Amber let her eyes fully close as she kissed him back. Their lips moved together softly, gently, slowly. It was like the flickering embers of a dying fire, but the fire wasn’t completely out yet. And she loved it.
Like Amber, he loved soft kisses they exchanged. He loved the way he could easily taste her better, how their lips molded into each other better than when they were kissing heatedly. It gave him a better chance to explore her mouth, letting it drive him insane slowly.
Amber pressed herself against him, simply wanting to be closer. She lifted a hand to place it against the side of his neck, feeling his skin under her fingers. Why didn’t they do this more often? They definitely should start that. This was just… perfect.
William pulled her on top of him, simply to get better access to her mouth than anything else. He caressed her back softly, loving the feeling of her pressed against him, bodies touching with no intent of anything sexual.
Amber sighed into his mouth at his touch and pulled back to touch their noses together with a soft smile. “Yeah… That was definitely what I wanted,” she murmured with a quiet chuckle. “Thank you, Will.”
William kept his eyes closed, a faint smile on his features. “Don’t worry about it,” he breathed. “That was exactly what I wanted, too.”
“I’m just so… happy,” Amber chuckled softly, kissing him again gently before rolling off to the side.
“You aren’t the only one,” William breathed. “Lying down like this with you… it feels great.”
Amber hummed her agreement, smiling up at the ceiling. “It’s amazing. I guess you never really know how badly you missed something until you have it back, huh?”
William pulled her so her back was pressed to his chest and his face was in the crook of her neck. “I love you,” he murmured. “I’m glad I got you back.”
“I love you, too, Will. I’m glad to be back with you, too,” Amber sighed, relaxing in his hold.
"That's good," William kissed her shoulder. "Well, what do you suppose we do now?"
