Daisy nodded, a soft chuckle escaping her lips. “A horrible, cheesy romance?” she guessed, a teasing light gleaming in her eyes. “Is there any specific time I should be coming over?”

Deleted user

“Definitely a horrible, cheesy romance,” Arvil nodded in agreement, a grin on his features. “And no. You can come whenever you want.”

Deleted user

“My future wife bringing me food? I’d like that,” Arvil purred, grinning. “This is one cheesy romantic movie, it seems.”

Arvil grinned as he waved a waiter over for their bill.

“Oh, yes,” he responded with a chuckle. “You really do.”

Deleted user

Arvil took the bill the waiter gave him, setting a few dollars in the book. “Keep the change,” he said, thanked him, and then turned his attention back towards Daisy.

“Might as well,” he grinned at her, turning around to leave. “Do dress up lovely, my dear. I’ll see you then.”

Daisy hummed, holding back a scoff even as she rolled her eyes. Why should she dress up? It’s not like she was going to do something important… Though, she supposed, it was pretty important.

“I’ll see you soon, Arvil,” she called to him as she started to walk away.

[TIME SKIP: Next Tuesday afternoon]

Daisy didn’t quite know what to get Arvil for lunch since he had said he didn’t have a favorite, so she just picked up some burgers and fries. If he liked them, good. If not, he could live without them. He should have given her something specific to get, anyway.

She walked into the building, tugging at her black pencil skirt and making sure her gray sweatshirt was still tucked in correctly. It had been a while since she’d work these heels, too, but they went with her outfit for the day. Obviously, she’d decided to humor her fake fiancé and dress nicely.

Stepping up to the front desk, she told them that she was there to see Arvil Davis.

“The President is currently busy,” the receptionist said without looking up at the woman, typing on her laptop. “Your name? I’ll get you an appointment if you don’t have one.”

“The game lags too much,” Arvil said, shutting down the laptop and looking at the Gaming Department. “While it works best on the phone, its performance is poor on the computer.”

He leaned back against his chair, looking at the team with a blank expression on his face. He was tired and grumpy and the first thing that they showed him in the afternoon was a poorly constructed game. Fantastic. He wished Daisy was there. At least she was better amusement.

The receptionist finally looked up, amusement on her features.

“Fiancée,” she repeated, smiling. “Sure, dear. Call him. I’m sorry if it seems a bit rude, but we’ve had several girls pretend to be his girlfriends or fiancée’s.”

@Imperfect_Autumn group

“And he did say you’d think that, too,” Daisy chuckled, actually amused, as she pulled her phone from her small purse and dialed Arvil’s number. So some women were a little obsessed with him… Good to know…

To Arvil’s relief, his phone began to ring. He slipped it out of his pocket, smiling when he saw who it was.

His dear fiancée. Without paying his employees any attention, he pressed enter.

“Missed me?” He purred. “I missed you, too~”

@Imperfect_Autumn group

Daisy held back an eye roll at his words. “Love, would you let the receptionist know that I am actually you’re fiancee? I have lunch for you, and it’s beginning to get cold.”

Deleted user

At the mention of food, Arvil realized he was hungry. His grin widened.

“Give me a second. I’ll ring her up and tell her to let you in~” he twirled the seat he was on before picking up the landline, dialing the receptionist. “See you when you get inside, love.”

He ended the call just as the receptionist picked up.

The receptionist was surprised when the woman actually called someone. Her surprise was doubled when her phone rang and the President called her to let the woman in.

“I’m so sorry!” She apologized just as the call was finished. “You can go in. He’s on the fourth floor. I’m sorry again!”

@Imperfect_Autumn group

Daisy laughed and nodded at her. “No worries. We did think I would receive that reaction, after all. Thank you for your help.

And then she was off and heading toward the elevator. When she reached the fourth floor, she started to walk down the hall, wondering which room her faux fiancé was in.

Arvil was casually waiting for Daisy to arrive in his office, leaning back against his chair. His employees looked at him in slight astonishment, but otherwise didn’t comment.

“Noah, can you go get her?” He questioned his assistant. “Please?”

Noah rolled his eyes. “I’ll arrange a poisoned coffee for you, too.”

Arvil merely blew him a kiss as Noah walked out of the room.

When Noah walked out, he found a pretty woman looking around the floor. He knew who she was instantly. After all, his boss had told him.

“Miss Daisy Riley?” He questioned as he walked up to her. “Follow me.”

@Imperfect_Autumn group

Daisy’s eyes quickly traveled to the man who’d spoken her name. She didn’t know him, so he must have been sent by Arvil. And so, silently, she followed him.

When Daisy entered the room, Arvil immediately pulled on an expression that made it seem like he was in love.

“Daisy~” he purred, standing up and making his way to her. “You came. I missed you~“

@Imperfect_Autumn group

Daisy gave him a soft smile, then air-kissed his cheeks. She wouldn’t really kiss him, not matter how attractive he was, so this was as close as she’d get.

“Missed you, too, Arvil. I’m glad you’re happy to see me,” she teased. Holding up the bags, she raised her eyebrows in question. “Where should I put these?”

Deleted user

“Of course I’m happy to see you,” Arvil responded, grabbing the bags from her and setting them on the table. “I was so bored without you.”

He paused, turning towards his employees.

“Fix the problems and bring it back next week,” he said to them, waved a hand and they all walked out of the room, still surprised by Daisy’s appearance. And her relationship with their president.

Deleted user

“It’s special since you got it,” he winked at her. If Noah had been here, he would have snorted. “I honestly didn’t realize I was hungry until you came in.”

@Imperfect_Autumn group

Daisy rolled her eyes at the wink, grateful she didn't have to hide it from prying eyes. "Well, it's a good thing I'm here then, huh? I can't have the only thing between me and getting married off to some jerk dying, now can I?"

Deleted user

Arvil flicked her on the forehead, gesturing her to sit down.

“Definitely not,” he hummed in agreement. “But you can’t also deny you won’t miss this beautiful being if he dies.”

Deleted user

“Lies,” Arvil laughed, crossing his legs the second he sat down next to her. “Why wouldn’t you miss this?”
