"I saw you-I saw you die. You got stabbed." tears streaked Ace's cheeks.
Kameo drew in a breath, "You got stabbed. I stayed with you in the hospital. You were dead."
"You were dead."

Leah looked up, her green eyes more faded than usual. "He's docked already. . . I don't know what's taking him so long."

"I hope it goes well." Daso inspected her. "Not to say you aren't absolutely-drop-dead gorgeous, but you look a bit distant. Feeling okay?"

@ShadeStar

(lol, this is one my favs. 'You were dead.' 'You were dead.')

(This reunion is beautiful and utterly amusing to watch.)

"Drop-dead-gorgeous. . ." Leah sighed, looking towards Divo. She debated whether or not to tell him about her hallucinations and such. Only Lucian knew. "I don't know if that's the word to describe me at the moment. I'm just worried." Leah finished, giving him a small smile.

"No you were." Kameo pointed at him. "You got buried."
"No, you did."
"Shut up."

(This is gold.)

(Yeah it honestly is. )

Daso knew she wasn't telling him everything, but he understood. "I'd like to point out right now that since Kam-Kam is gone, his whiskey is fair game. Just saying." He smiled jokingly.

"I'd love to get my hands on it and run." Leah grinned, her thoughts muted by Daso's presence.

"Don't worry, I won't, sweetheart." She smiled, turning towards him. "There'll be plenty tonight. The crew wanted to celebrate. Apparently we haven't had some entertainment in a while."

"Entertainment is your forte." Leah grinned, leaning on the side of the boat, her captain's hat shadowing her face. "Sadly, dancing isn't something I'm great at."

@Lenered

"Look, I'm here to get you out of this place." Kameo peered at him through his gas mask.
Ace smiled, "Knight in shining armor?"

Morrigan sighed, sitting cross legged in the floor of her tiny office and trying to untangle a mistake in her star charts. Her whole body ached slightly due to her wounds, per usual, but the gashes on her stomach and arm didn’t hurt so much. She ran her fingers through her tangled mass of hair, pulling it over one shoulder and dipping her dove-feather quill in her inkwell, hand hovering over the roll of parchment. The harder she tried to concentrate, the more distracted she became by thoughts of tomorrow, until she couldn’t stand it anymore and got up, padding over to her small circular window. The sea was a dark gray-blue, relatively still but foreboding, almost as if it was predicting what was to come. Morrigan rubbed her tired eyes, worried sick about Kameo. What if he gets hurt? What if he doesn’t come back?

Leah tilted her head to the side. "And how do you plan on doing that?"

@WriteOutofTime

"Like this." Daso wrapped his arm around her waist, hesitantly, asking permission with his gentleness. He held out his other hand to her.

@Lenered

Kameo laughed, "Maybe."
"I'm sorry."
"Why?"
Ace's face fell, "You saw me die and now you're going to watch me die again." he pointed at a patch of his skin, gray and rotting. "I'm dying."

Leah stepped closer, placing her hand in his. "I'm going to warn you. . . I have no experience, at all."

Chipped black nails digging into the wood that rimmed her porthole, Morrigan scanned the shoreline of Divo for any sign of Kameo, stomach clenched with worry and fear. What’s taking him so long?!, she fretted, pacing up and down the length of her cozy office, eyes trailing distractedly over the beautifully painted charts and plots hanging on her walls. Finally, she crouched down in front of a small wooden box painted with puffs of a galaxy and unlocked it with the silver key that always hung around her neck, removing a handmade and self-bound book of poetry. Leaning against the wall, she flipped through it, searching for comfort in the words.

This particular book was filled with carefully inked and copied poetry she’d collected from all around Dalia, all her favorites bound together by a piece of painted and embossed leather. Many of the other books in the box contained her own poetry, but this book was the one that brought her the most comfort. Morrigan took a deep breath, flipping to her favourite page.
