Jocelyn grinned. "That's right. I don't. Would you like to guess why?"

"Um… You're not real your like a virus spreading from one person to the next

Jocelyn tilted her head side to side, contemplating what Ellie had said. "I mean, it's the closest guess I've ever gotten, I'll give you that."

"Um then why don't you," Ellie asked fearful

"Why don't I what?" Jocelyn asked, narrowing her eyes slightly.

"Have memories," Ellie explained

"Oh, yes that," she remarked with a slight laugh. "Well, I have memories… in a way, but not a way that you understand. I store them differently in my mind so I have room for… other things."

"Ok… But why do you take interest in me I'm just a girl who can't control her powers," Ellie asked looking Jocelyn in her eyes

"Because Evie is a girl who can't control her powers," Jocelyn replied steadily, not batting an eyelash when they made direct eye contact.

Ellie looked at Jocelyn. "Like me," Ellie mumbled.

"Mhm…" Jocelyn hummed.

Ellie thought about Evie. "Did you hurt her… Evie did you hurt Evie, Is she ok," Ellie asked

"Oh, she's okay. Not hurt… no guarantees," Jocelyn replied with a smirk.

"Ok…… Good, why were you looking for us? We aren't that special we're just kids," Ellie asked thinking about Xander, Arien, and Miko.

"Special people usually don't have to say that they aren't special," she remarked, shrugging nonchalantly.

"What? We are just kids not anyone special especially me," Ellie said with a tingle of sadness in her voice.

"Wait, are you going to do what you did to Evie to me," Ellie asked holding her arm.

"What, ask you to be my host? No," Jocelyn replied smoothly, looking at Ellie sharply. "I have Evie for that. But I do want you to know that I can help you."

"Help me with what?" Ellie asked relieved to not suffer the way Evie did.

"With figuring out your power," Jocelyn answered. Jocelyn… A brief look flashed through her eyes for a split second, then it was gone.

"Really," Ellie beamed "How" She asked

"Please help," Ellie started tearing up

"How will you help," Ellie asked nervousely

"All you have to do… is let me into your mind for a little while," Jocelyn purred sweetly.

Arien looked at Ellie.
"Don't do it!"

Ellie looked at Arien and to Jocelyn. "Ok, whatever it takes," Ellie said to Jocelyn

Jocelyn smiled. "Good girl." She lifted her hand and misty black magic swirled in her palm. It slowly crept towards Ellie. "Just stay calm darling, I promise it won't hurt."

"No!" Arien shrieked.
"It's a trap!"

Miko puts her hand on Ellie's shoulder and asked "why…" looking down she finishes "I don't want to lose you to HER."

Jocelyn narrowed her eyes. "Who are you?"
