"Yeah, it must be a nervewracking job some days," Aurelius said, "It seems like a lot of pressure."
"Yeah, it must be a nervewracking job some days," Aurelius said, "It seems like a lot of pressure."
"It's stressful on the battlefield, or if someone has a bad infection, but after that it isn't hard."
"I guess so," Aurelius replied, "You seem to be the very caring and attentive type, so it all must come natural to you."
"That and growing up with parents who had the same profession kinda cinched it for me…"
"Ah, I see…" Aurelius murmured, "It's a wonderful profession though. No wonder you wanted to follow in your parents' footsteps."
Silver sighed, "Yeah.." he said, looking back at his herbs wistfully.
Aurelius reached for Silver's shoulder and placed his hand on it.
"Hey, you okay?"
"Just.. remembering simpler times.." said Silver wistfully.
"Oh… I miss them too," Aurelius said, his voice fading, "Then again, don't we all? Especially those of us who have fallen upon some amount of… misfortune."
Silver sighed. "You got that right.."
"Well, things may not be like they used to be, but I'm thankful for what once was, and I'm glad that going forwards, although it's been tough, I've met plenty of amazing people," Aurelius replied.
"Same here." said Silver, "But I can't help but wish to go back sometimes.."
"Yeah," Aurelius sighed, "I completely agree. There are some things and people that I really miss."
Silver nodded, "But lets not reminince too much…"
"There's a time for that," Aurelius countered, "But yeah, we should really focus on what's in front of us."
Silver nodded, "Let's head back to the other's before they worry.
"Yeah, it appears to be getting late, too," Aurelius said, "It'll be night soon."
Silver nodded, "Exactly why we should get back."
"That, and if you still wanted to try the whole dream walking thing…" Aurelius suggested, "The time to do it would be soon."
"I know." said Silver, "But not out here. If we get attacked during that process, neither of us will be able to defend."
"Yeah, I wasn't suggesting we do it out here," Aurelius replied, "Just when we get back."
Silver nodded, "Come on, we need to get going." he said, turning to head back to camp.
"Okay," Aurelius said.
He started to follow Silver, occasionally looking behind him to make sure they weren't being followed or anything.
Silver led them directly back to camp, the moon starting to come high. "Now or never Aurelius.." he said quietly.
"Let's do it," he agreed, "How do we start?"
"First step is you taking a nap." said Silver wryly.
"A nap this late is just bedtime, but okay," Aurelius said.
He found one of the tents that were empty, placed his things on the ground and laid down on the bedroll inside.
Silver watched him go, following after he had told Glaciero what was going on. Entering the small tent, he set down his healer's bag.
Aurelius, not asleep or even close to being asleep, looked up at Silver.
"What will you have to do exactly?" he asked.
"It's a simple, but exhausting spell that allows me to enter your dreams…" said Silver quietly. "Only thing is is you have to be asleep for it to work.."
