Gabriel watches, still invisible, from the balcony.
Is that Ben? The big one drinking coffee? Geez, maybe he just looks easier than I thought. Or he spends all of his time and strength on his hair.
(Is Hush actually invisible or do you mean invisible as in no one is paying attention to her? XD)(cause me and Lisa thought that people could see each other if they were both invisible)
(she actually be invisible) (I don't think it would scientifically work, scientifically they couldn't see anything because light's not bouncing off their eyeballs) (or else they would be floating pairs of eyes lol) (but considering none of this is scientific at all sure they can see each other)
Duskan does not want to do this. 'Relocating' 10 (that's how many there are now right??) kids would not be easy and certainly would not be fun.
"Are you prepared?" the commander asks.
Duskan turns without answering and begins the climb back to the surface. It seemed to be raining. He pulls up his dark blue hood and reappears in a vacant parking lot outside the city.

(Yaay) (also, I think of we thought of most of this scientifically it wouldn’t work XD but we can say they can’t see each other, that’s okay.)
(I imagined that Gabriel and Silver could see each other if Gabe was turning them both invisible since it was his power on both of them. That made sense to me. But if different people are making themselves invisible, they don't have to see each other.)

Silver finished eating and brought her dishes to the kitchen. She felt awkward being around Ben after their spat, and knowing that Gabriel was upstairs, but she didn't know how to bring it up to him.
Ben sighs, stirring his coffee. He needed it, since he never slept at night due to usually working. He runs a hand through his hair before turning around and placing it on the counter palm down.
"Alright. I think for now, since all we're doing is gathering information, we should split into groups of people who work the best together, that way we can actually work and not just argue. Sound good? тьфу. Besides that just make known what you're studying or researching and where, that way we know where you are and what you have covered." He looks around the room, eyebrows creased together.

He runs a hand through his hair again, glancing up at the balcony with a feeling like he's being watched from there. But there isn't anything.
"I- I get Violet on my team." He waves a hand towards her, picks up his coffee and turns back around to the other counter, starting her some tea.
She smiles through closed lips.
I think that's the best plan as of now. Maybe.

(P.S. Ben had to get his money from somewhere, right? And though most of it was attained illegally, he does work at a huge company from home. His shifts are usually 12am-5am and he basically is non-stop on the laptop sending long emails explaining how something electronic works to the customer. He does math tutoring with a few kids too. And on most Saturday's he spends most of the day making food and buying supplies for the homeless shelter 30min from his house.)
(Violet used to work part time in that coffee shop near her house but quit since they had to run from there. She mostly works as Ben's housemaid and occasionally babysits Cage)

"First we should definitely figure out the teams. Like, who's best with who. Me and Ben will go ahead and have Sung and Tod with us as long as they're here."

Ben glares up at the top of the balcony again before looking back around the room.
“We have, what, ten people?”
Violet clears her throat, “eleven.” She quietly corrects.
He squints and looks around the room.
“Whatever. At least three people per group preferably though.”
Cage grabs Leo’s arm. “I’m with Leo and Shadow!!!!!”
“Sure” Leo said
Shadow groaned but quietly enough that cage and Leo couldn’t hear
Groups? That’s the smartest idea they’ve had.
Gabriel eyes Silver for a minute.
“… I’ll group with Silver….” he quietly squeaks.
