"Doesn't matter to me anymore." she mumbles and fidgets with her shirt hem.

"I'm still pretty scared of the dark." He replied looking around.

"You have me to face your fears C." Harper starts, "Did I mention I like you?"

"Yes you did in fact mention that." He replied and looked at her.

"Wanna ditch this place once we got off?" Harper asks, "Not feeling this place right now."

"Sure, where would you like to go." He asked smiling at her

"Away from here. There is an old diner down the street, we could go hang there?" Harper suggests. She looks at Colden and scoots over to get warm from his warmth, "Thank you."

"Welcome, And it sounds nice." He replied and leaned his head on her shoulder. "So how much longer till this thing starts do you suppose."

"Im thinking about 25 minutes, its already been 25 minutes so we should get off soon." Harper says, "Damn you're better than my ex. Certainly a gentleman."

"Well Thank you for that complement." He replied.

"No problem C." She sighs, "I bet you right now that my best friend and him are having sex right now."

"Well… That is a graphic though." He said laughing. "I feel that you friend will feel your wrath later."

"I've already got it planned out." Harper laughs, "I'm making my attack tonight."

"Sounds interesting. Just don't get caught and leave no evidence." Colden said. The lights around the ride started to turn on suddenly.

"I never get caught." Harper says, "Welp finally we can leave this hellhole…"

He nodded as the ride started and went.

Harper scooted back to her spot and waited for the ride to be over.

Soon the ride was over and they were back.

"So off to the diner?" Harper asked looking in her bag for a sweatshirt, "Damn it, of course I left it at home."

"Sure." He said getting up and retrieving his backpack. Then opened it and tossed a hoodie at her. "There."

"No it's all good." She says handing back his hoodie, but it smelt good but she couldn't just take it.

"Alright. Just don't get cold." He replied stuffing it in his bag. "lead the way."

"It's legit down a block from here." Harper says getting out of the fair grounds, "My Dad used to bring me and my cousins here. But soon he got a new job and well he got super busy."

"Ok, sounds like it is a nice place." He replied following her.

They reached the diner and Harper open the door and walks in. She finds a booth in the back by the wind and slides in, "So what do we do or talk about now?"

He followed and sat down across from her. "No idea."

"Do you want food? And we could play…I don't know…two truths and one lie or would you rather." Harper suggests putting her hands on her arms and rubbing them.

"Alright. Sounds good. And tell me honestly are you cold?"

"Yesssssssssssss." She says dragging out the s.
