He didn’t know what to do at this point to help Kyle.

“C-Caleb?” Kyle’s soft and veryuiet voice broke through the silence, okay, maybe he wasn’t asleep yet.

“What is it?” He asked quietly.

“I’m sorry…” He whispered, “I love you…”

“I-it’s okay…and I love you too.”

“It’s not okay… none of this is okay.”

“You’re right…but it’s not your fault”

“It’s whoever gave me these fucking powers…” He mumbled.

“I hate the universe sometimes….it enjoys messing with us a bit too much”

He cracked a small smile, “At least the universe gave me you…” He said quietly, blushing.

“Yup, you’re the only good thing the universe has given me in a long time” he smiled. “And trust me the universe has done some pretty fucked up things in my life”

His blushed deepened and he did his face in the crook of Caleb’s neck, “Please don’t ever leave me.”

“I don’t want to, and I never will.”

“Promise me…”

“I promise, I’ll never leave you.” Still there was the voice in his head that told him Kyle would hate him if he knew the whole truth.

Kyle sighed, his body slumping a little as if a weight had just been removed.

“Good…” he smiled lightly. He knew they had at max 48 hours before someone came to find them. What would happen then…he had no idea.

Kyle sighed softly again, closing his eyes and taking in Caleb’s scent.

He sat there silently, quite literally having a battle with himself. ‘You know they’re just going to kill him, it’s the most logical option’ he heard the girl’s voice in his head
‘And like I told him, I won’t let that happen’ he replied
‘And how exactly are we going to do that, huh? We’re risking everything, you realize that right?’ The girl asked annoyedly
‘Maybe I just don’t care anymore Eddie’
‘Oh we’re really going to go through this bullshit again?!’
It was at this point that he stopped listening, locking himself in some part of his mind where he wouldn’t have to hear her.

Kyle pulled away, standing wobbly, “I’m going to shower,” He muttered, rubbing his eyes as he slowly, walked towards the bathroom.

He took a half an hour shower, letting the very hot water run over his body as if trying to get rid of all his worries.

Caleb was low key freaking out. He had no idea what to do. ‘Call her’

He sighed, dialing the number, “Hey it’s me sis…he’s gotten worse.”
