Dom that's very cool!
Why thank you! I figured out some more grammar lately and got two more words! (Twelve if you count the fact that I can now count to ten.)
Neat!
I know! I'm so exited about it!
That’s so awesome!!!
Woah that's really creative props to you!
It's a little stupid in a way. The language I am actually putting a ton of work in is Common.
It's a little stupid in a way.
Me sorry what?
Well the one I work on is the one that is English in the book.
Mmm I'm intrigued.
Ask away.
Can you give a basic overview?
Of a language?
Yeah XD
Can you be more specific? I don't want to type out all the rules of grammar and such.
Uh alright. Alphabet? What language is it most similar to or based off of, and along with that, what are the major differences? Why did you feel the need to create a new language for the characters?
Pretty much English alphabet. Greek Latin splice. They live somewhere else and wouldn't know English.
Ooh Greek/Latin… coolio.
Past, present, future tense? Plural(s)?
(also side-note, if this is a book are you going to have the main character speak English so the reader can understand?)
The Common is the language I am making. 99% of it will be English in the book.
Past tense is "an", Future is "um", Present is unaltered.
a is I. tu is You. fi and mo for the male and female. (It is used sparingly. Fridel: sibling, Fridelfi: sister.)
The way the word/sentence is put together is Subject, First person, Second person if existent.
Example: Fridelmoattu = Brother my you. = You are my brother. (I assume the 'are' here because it is in Present tense.)
Wow
I only know spanish french and english, literally the three most basic languages in the world, and ya'll is making another one I feel smol
If it makes you feel better I only have sixteen words.
It’s okay, all I know is English and maybe three sentences in Japanese
No wait seventeen. I spent twenty minutes to make another one.
my friend knows how to write in fluent korean, not speak though, it makes me lowkey jelly
Dom that's neat… ahh that's really coolio.
