His smile immediately mirrored hers, and he held the front door open for her to pass.
His smile immediately mirrored hers, and he held the front door open for her to pass.
"Gracias," she purred playfully.
That tone made his face go red like a sunburn.
She noticed and blushed herself. "S-Sorry…"
"N-No, it's…" A sheepish smile crossed his face, "It's fine, actually.."
"I don't want our day to start off on the wrong foot," she said softly, blushing even more once she saw his smile.
"No step is a wrong one," he spoke very quietly, aware of how cheesy that sounded.
She arched an eyebrow. "Alright, Plato, allons y!"
He drew an inhale, breaking himself from that soft demeanor and back to his springy step. "I'll let you choose the radio station,"
"Nope! It's your day," Violet retorted, skipping towards his car.
"Oh, right," he laughed quietly, sinking into the driver's seat and flicking on the radio. He turned it to a bubbly jazz station.
She looked skeptical. "Did you put it here just for me?"
"Hm? Did I put this station on for you?" He echoed. "Yes. Yes I did,"
"No," she said simply, putting it back where he liked it. "It's your day."
"M'okay," he exhaled unsurely. He'd get used to it, surely.
She looked over at him and tilted her head. "Something wrong?"
"Nah, I'm just adjusting." He replied.
"To what?" she asked.
"To being spoiled," he smiled wide.
She laughed. "Well, you deserve to be, after you spoil literally everyone else."
He just held that giggly smile, looking forward.
"How long's it gonna take, do you know?" she asked.
"Like, fifteen minutes," Peter replied.
She nodded. "I'm so excited to see what stuff you like."
"Really?! He chuckled, "Thanks,"
"Yeah. I realized that I don't know that much about you, but I want to," she said, tilted her head as she looked out the window.
