She stopped just before him, crossing her arms over her chest. "You're just like a puppy," she concluded. I'm dating a puppy… I guess there are worse out there.

"C'mooooooooooon." He opened an eye and looked up at her.

She sighed, knowing she'll get nowhere with him, and joined him on the couch, resting her head on his chest.

He grunted happily, wrapping her up in a hug. "Yayyyy."

"You're such a child," she teased.

"You like it." He gave her a light kiss on the top of the head.

"Sadly," she sighed jokingly.

"Oh?" he asked, looking down at her. "Am I that big of a detriment?"

She tilted her head up to look up at him. "I'm joking."

There was a small grin on his face. "And you thought I was serious?"

She stuck her tongue out threateningly, as it was dangerously close to his neck.

He just chucked, letting his head fall back into the couch and closing his eyes.

She settled against him once again, sighing deeply and closing her eyes as well. A nap never hurt anyone, and I really need one after today.

"Sorry for how shitty today's been for you," he said softly, rubbing her back lazily as he started to doze off.

"I've had worse," she mumbled. Shit, I need Cin to redo the glamour over my cheek. Later… He hasn't noticed yet.

"Mmmmm…" he said sleepily, yawning heavily.

She snuggled closer, breathing evening out as she slowly fell asleep.

(Maybe his mom pops up?)
Runner smiled, his breathing falling into the same rhythm as Tess's as he fell asleep.

(I had something else in mind…)
A few hours later
Zeus's voice. "Oh, I really hope you two didn't have sex."

(Oh, well go with it, then)
"No….sadly," Runner mumbled, only catching the 'sex' part and infering the rest.

Tessa groaned and threw a pillow at Zeus blindly. "Fuck off, Zeus."
He folded his arms over his chest knowingly. "Oh, so you don't want to know the winner of the War Games?"

He raised his head, his eyes barely opened. "Who?"

Zeus smirked when Tessa echoed the question. "Wolf."

Runner raised his eyebrows. "He beat Cin?"

Tessa was awake now. "What!?"
Zeus held his hands up in surrender. "The dude had quite a few cards up his sleeve. He beat Cinthia, but they were both pretty banged up by the time it as over. It was a fair and surprisingly equal match."
"Fucking twins," Tessa muttered, flopping back down dramatically.

"Damn," he said, grunting as she flopped onto him again. "Wish I coulda seen that fight."

Zeus held up his phone and waved it in the air. "It was broadcasted, remember? It'll be playing for some time. And I got a pic of them once the fight was done to back up my claim that they looked like hell."

"See," he said, lightly tapping the top of Tess's head. "I gave up when I was ahead so I wouldn't have to get my ass kicked."

"Mm." She reached out in a 'gimme' motion, and looked at Zeus's phone. "And I'm glad you did."

He winced when he saw the picture, and repeated his previous, "Damn. Nevermind, I definitely don't wanna see whatever caused that."
