"And I'm going to keep avoiding it for as long as I can." he said in a perkey voice. "How in the world do you survive he day if you stay up all night? oh my god are you a vampire? I knew they didn't just exhist in books!"

"Coffee, my one true love, COFFEE." She says while slipping a sweatshirt on.

He shook his head "I don't get how people voluntarily drink coffee, it's terrible." he stood outside "look out the window." he instructed

She looks out the window, "Stalker much?"

"And coffee is amazing, tea is okay." She smiles at the statement know he liked tea better.

He shook his head "tea's fine. And no I'm not a stalker. I just know where you live." He winked up at her and went inside the building

"Fair warning I have no idea what we are going to do." She sighs.

He shrugged and sat down "want to just talk? Maybe that'll get you to sleep." Cas suggested

"The thing is once i'm up, there is no way to get me to sleep." Harper sighs, "talking is my specialty."

"yay for me," Cas smiled already feeling tired " anything in particular you want to talk about?"

"Are you a cat or dog person? This is a serious question." Harper smiles and tries to look serious.

He smiled "ooh this might be a deal breaker. I'm a dog person, specifically wolves and huskies, you?" He asked, trying to hide the shy smile

"Okay, we can officially be friends. I don't trust cats. they are cute and all but I do NOT trust them." Harper starts, "Dogs are the besttttt. I can't wait for you to meet Bear."

He nodded in agreement "cute but deadly," he said, describing cats. "Bear? tell me he's a dog and not a legit bear…please?"

"Why in the hell would I have a pet bear? Of course he is a dog." Harper smiles, "The cutest border collie ever."

He laughed "I'm kidding, mostly…" He leaned back in his seat and closed his eyes "can't wait to meet them."

"He comes home today." She starts, "He was sent to training for a month. I got to visit him though."

"That's great, is he a puppy? or does he not like listening?" he asked, glancing around the room, adrenaline still rushing from a few moments ago

"About 7 months old." She says, "You want anything? Water? Food? A blanket?"

He shook his head "no I'm good, thanks. And that's still a puppy…teenager I guess."

"Can I tell you something?" Harper asks softly, grabbing a blanket and wrapping herself up.

He looked at her and nodded "Of course," he said, leaning forwards in his seat to better hear her

"How do I say this?" She starts, "Well I was over at Dan's house a week ago and I was looking for my sweater I left there and uh I found something that I don't think I should've found."

His skin prickled at the mention of the man he just had put in jail, put nodded "what do you mean 'wasn't supposed to find?'"

"I found a fucking engagement ring Cas!" Harper freaks, putting her head in her hands, "I don't understand."

well, this went to shit Cas thought "what's there to understand? He wants to marry you, do you want to do the same?" He said gently, choosing his words carefully

"Why me though?" She asks, avoiding his question. She didn't know. And she didn't know how to know her real answer.

"Because he loved you in a way, no matter how messed up." He said and walked over putting a hand on her shoulder. "Now do you want to marry him or did you not?"

"I…I guess I did. I had really good feelings about him. I pushed the past behind and…and I saw that we could help each other." She thinks for minute and finally replies, "I should've just told him I found it."
