He made it to the building and made his way up the stairs to the top floor, which was sealed off by glass "one of my other favorite places to go."

"What's up here though?" She asked, following him up the stairs and leaning against the glass that sealed off the top floor to take a break.

"nothing much actually. I mean, besides an amazing veiw of the sky and my personal collection of instrument, nothing." He laughed and sat in the middle of the room "I just come here to get away from the world, from everyday problems and stresses. It's peaceful."

She nodded and sat down beside him, looking around the room as her fingers tapped against the floor, "it's so quiet here.."

"better than a library, but when instruments are played it's absolutely beautiful." He explained whistfully " you have never heard a sound more clearly."

"Can I try playing one?" She asked, quite curious about just how clear the sound was in this quiet space.

Jasper nodded "go ahead," he pointed to a corner where instruments of all types were neatly displayed

She jumped up and walked to the instruments, grinning slightly as she tried to choose one that wouldn't be too loud but she could still hear the noise clearly from.

"The small piano and the acustic guitar work great in here," he suggested, laying back on his back and staring up at the sky.

"Guitar it is." She declared, picking up the instrument and bringing it back over to where he was. She sat cross legged on the floor next to him and strummed a few times to make sure it was in tune before starting to play the only song she knew on guitar.

"Ah my favorite, right next to it's electric brother." he pulled his hands behind his head and watched her play "what song is that?" he asked, not recognizing the tune

She smiled, "I'm yours but Jason Mraz, the only song I know how to play on guitar."

"I love that song," he sat up and walked over to the electric guitar, taking it from.its stand and heading back over to where Scarlet sat "mind if I play along?"

"I don't mind at all, jump in whenever." She smiled and started tapping along with her foot, ready to start singing as her fingers remembered their places on the strings and the song started coming together.

He nodded a couple times and started to strum along, choosing a lower scale to play the song on to ecentuate the accustic, his face contorting concentration as he got a feel for the song

"Well you done done me and you bet I felt it, I tried to be chill but you're so hot that I melted," She started, closing her eyes to concentrate on the words and chords she needed to play.

He opened his eyes and smiled. While still playing, Jasper leaned fowards and placed a gentle kiss against her lips "fell right through the cracks And now I'm trying to get back." He sang softly

She smiled and felt her face heat up slightly as she sang, "Before the cool done run out, I'll be giving it my best-est, and nothing's going to stop me but divine intervention." Scarlett started swaying back and forth lightly as she strummed out the notes.

He smiled and played along "I reckon it's again my turn To win some or learn some
But I won't hesitate no more, no more It cannot wait, I'm yours."

"Well open up your mind and see like me, open up your plans and damn you're free, look into your heart and you'll find love love love love." She opened her eyes and looked over at him, a small smile on her face.

He winked and continued to play "Listen to the music of the moment people dance and sing"

Scarlett bumped him with her shoulder and winked back, her fingers starting to hurt ever so slightly from holding the strings down, "We're just one big family,"

He breathed a laugh "And it's our God forsaken right to be loved loved loved loved loved." He dropped the tone of the guitar so it played darker to then raise for the next bit

"So I won't hesitate no more, no more, It cannot wait I'm sure, there's no need to complicate," She sang, the smile coming back as she glanced over at him.

"Our time is short This is our fate, I'm yours." He looked up at expectantly and smiled

"I've been spending way too long checking my tongue in the mirror, And bending over backwards just to try to see it clearer," She continued, her foot tapping to the beat again as she closed her eyes again to remember the words, "But my breath fogged up the glass, And so I drew a new face and I laughed."

" guess what I been saying is there ain't no better reason To rid yourself of vanity and just go with the seasons." She bobbed his head to the music, content with being with her and enjoying their time together

"It's what we aim to do, Our name is our virtue." Scarlett continued, focusing on the acoustics of the building.

"But I won't hesitate no more, no more It cannot wait I'm yours," he let the last word ring out before jumping back in the guitar.

She smiled and opened her eyes slightly to look over at him, "Well open up your mind and see like me, Open up your plans and damn you're free, Look into your heart and you'll find the sky is yours."
