He smiled as she read, enjoying the way her words caressed those on the pages and brought them to life. He laughed a bit as they changed for the multiple characters that came up. He read over her shoulder, nuzzling into her hair affectionatly.
It was a good book in her opinion and she loved reading it, the smile growing slightly as she read. She stopped every so often and turned to give him a kiss on the cheek before reading on, the pages flying by.
"hm, more reading less kissing," he complained with a grin. he glanced down at his watch "we've got to love," he said, not getting up despite the time
She sighed when he said they had to go and closed the book, slowly shifting so that she could stand up, "I suppose we should go then, I'm excited to go see more of Earth."
"don't seem as excited now hm? Don't worry, we can read more once we get back." He reasured "ready?" He asked, opening the doors
"I'm still excited, I was just really liking the book," She said with a nod, walking to the doors, "I'm ready when you are." She bounced on her toes and looked up at him, showing her excitement.
He smiled down at her and kissed her head "remind me why I didn't marry you earlier?" He led her out of the library and to the beaches out the screen door
She laughed lightly and shrugged, "I don't really know." She followed him out the doors and onto the beach, picking up a handful of sand and letting it fall through her fingers before looking up at him again.
He watched in amusement "you find beauty in the simple things my dear." He pulled her to him by the waist and waved his hand
"I'm just trying to remember every detail that I can." She said, smiling softly and wrapping her arms around his torso as he waved his hand.
He smiled down at her and kissed her head as they're both wisked away to New York
The trip was over quite quickly but even when they appeared in the city she held onto him, not wanting to be lost in the huge city.
Loki gave them both a minute to adjust to the sights and sounds of the city which were much different than the calmness and sereness of the house. He glanced down at Avalin "ready to go inside?" He asked, tilting her head up
She looked up and nodded, a small but bright smile coming to her face, "Of course, are you ready to go in love?" She slowly unwrapped her arms from around him and looked around the city for a moment, wondering silently why the buildings needed to be so tall.
He smiled at the familiar nickname and opened the doors to a building "don't be afraid if you see a little magic. Though not common on Earth, Strange and his friends have found that it can be performed." He explained
"They know how to use magic?" She repeated, amazed and very slightly worried that they might use the magic for bad or to hurt Loki. She stepped into the building and smiled lightly, very curious about everything.
He nodded and faced the staircase in front.
"Ah so I see your back, where's your brother?" Strange asked from the top of the landing "if you're here to steal, I can send you back to 37 minutes if he'll."
Loki shook his head "I'd rather not."
She stayed silent as they talked, the smile still on her face. This place was interesting and she was curious about all the different objects, not really even listening to them.
"it's good to see you back Loki." Strange said with half smile
"Same to you Strange. This is my wife Avalin." He gestured to her
"Wow, you actually got married before Thor? Congratulations."
"Thank you, why are people so surprised?"
At the mention of her name she focused back on the conversation and waved to Strange, "Nice to meet you," She said, chuckling lightly at the surprise of them being married, "Thor just hasn't found the right person yet, I'm sure he will soon though."
he bowed to her "a pleasure to meet anyone who can deal with this one," he jerked his head in Loki's direction.
Loki shook his head "nothing I haven't heard before."
Strange smiled and headed up the stairs "come on, I don't have much time but I can give you a little your if the place."
"That would be amazing," She said, smiling and poking Loki in the side, "He's actually not that bad." She joked, following Strange up the stairs to look around.
He smiled and followed them up "to you, you should've see what happened last time me and Thor came here."
Glancing back at him, she laughed lightly, "What'd you two do?" She looked around the building, captivated by everything there was to see.
"I did nothing for once. Cape boy here, trapped me in a worm hole for half an hour." Loki recalled
"What was I supposed to do? You unsheathed your daggers at me and called me a 'wizard man'." Strange argued over his shoulder
Loki rolled his eyes and sighed
"Wizard man?" Avalin repeated, laughing again lightly and looking at Loki, "What did Thor do about that?" Just imagining the scene she chuckled and shook her head, knowing Thor probably did nothing.
"we talked and drank beer." Strange answered
"Of course you did." Loki grinned
They reached a room with artifacts and treasures from all around the world "this is the ancient artifact ro- Loki, put the spear down."
Loki smiled, mischief gleaming in his eyes but he obeyed
"Like I said before, anyone who can tolerate him is a welcomes guest."
She shot Loki a look that said 'you should know better, but that's how you act' along with a smile, "He's not that bad once you get to know him, quite fun to be around actually."
He smiled back "I could say the same about you my dear."
Strange led them to weapon room and then to an armour room "and these are all weapons used when we fight." He explained
"Wow.." She said, walking closer to Loki and grabbing his hand. She did it both to keep him from grabbing any of the weapons and so she could be closer to him, even though the weapons fascinated her slightly.
