"But school is different." She looked up at the ceiling and sighed, "It's like dealing with several Lara's, and that's much more difficult than just one that I can get to leave easily."
"But school is different." She looked up at the ceiling and sighed, "It's like dealing with several Lara's, and that's much more difficult than just one that I can get to leave easily."
His brow creased with confusion "umm…alright…so don't think of it as a person…what about music? Think of it as getting through a song, the first verse, the chorus, the next verse, the chorus, and then the end verse." he suggested
Scarlett flopped onto her back on the floor and sighed, "Tried that, music is easy, school is the opposite." She shrugged, "That worked sometimes when I had a paper to write and needed a ton of paragraphs, but now it doesn't."
He sighed and started to lightly brush hair away from her face with the back of his hand "ok…so what are the main things are you having trouble with? Or is it college over all?"
"The whole thing." She mumbled, closing her eyes and focusing on his hand brushing hair out of her face.
"oh jeeze… Well to quote someone 'lifes a bitch'" he smiled "or is that karma? Still, you'll get through it,"
A small smile tugged at her lips, "That first one sounds more accurate." She sat up and opened her eyes, looking around, "Well, I suppose I should be getting home.."
"Already?" he protested "You can't stay for a bit longer?" He made no move to get up. "Know I won't let you go that easily."
"I could stay for a little longer, if you wanted me to," She said, glancing over at him as she started standing up, "I just don't want to walk home when it's dark out, too many creeps."
(Merp)
He nodded "way too many." He stood with her and headed to the door "does this mean I can crash at your place again?" He asked with a hopefully grin.
She thought for a moment and smiled, "Sure, go ahead, I don't mind." She scooped up her backpack and swung it over her shoulder, bouncing on her toes, "Just think, it's getting closer to the weekend, and the weekend means no school, and that means it's getting closer to the end of the school year."
He cocked his head to the side with a grin "I guess that makes a little sense. Now don't go crazy about summer and let your grades drop."
She grinned and shrugged, "I don't think they're going to drop, but they might, I'm not making any promises."
He shook his head "uh, uh. Grades drop, ice cream privileges drop. And I'll call Conner to ban you from his place."
She pouted and looked up at him with puppy eyes, "Aw, c'mon Jassie, no ice cream? Really?" A small grin tugged at her lips but she hid it as best as she could when she realized there were other ways she could get ice cream from there. She did know some people in the city after all.
He shook his head "nope, don't start with the puppy dog eyes. I'm only saying that if grades drop." He said, glancing away with a smile, knowing he wouldn't be able to resist her look if he kept staring at her
"Still," She kept the puppy eye act up for a moment before a small smile appeared on her face, "We'll discuss that when my grades drop."
"so never, cuz that won't happen right?" He poked her in the side playfully, smiling.
She shrugged, "Like I said, I can't make any promises." She jabbed him in the side with her elbow playfully, a grin on her face.
He laughed and dodged her attempts at tickling him "ok, but don't fail on purpose." He let her go first so she could opened the apartment.
"I won't fail on purpose," She said, looking over at him before grabbing her apartment key and opening the door.
"good," he glanced up at the sky and grinned "hey, just a thought. How do you feel about getting wet again?"
She followed his gaze up to the sky and then glanced at him, "What are you planning..?"
"I'm not planning anything." He grinned knowing he had intrigued her. He started backing away from the apartment and walked down the sidewalk. Rain was starting to fall yet Jasper didn't seem to mind "what? My little flame is scared of getting wet?" He called
Scarlett scowled and opened the door, tossing her backpack inside with a loud thunk before stepping outside to follow him, "I'm not afraid of getting wet, I'm just a little suspicious of what you might be planning."
He raised his hand in defense "I'm not planning anything, not yet. And even if I were, what could I have planned for a rainy day? No, u just want to walk in the rain for a bit." He sidglanced her and smiled " you didn't have to follow."
She rolled her eyes and a small smile twitched on her face, "Thats true, maybe I should just go back."
He shrugged "you're choice." he glanced up and closed his eyes. Letting the rain fall on his face. Shaking his head he smiled and started jogging to a building "but since you came," he called
She thought for a moment before sighing and jogging after him. As much as she didn't want to get wet again, she was curious nonetheless.
