“So you do.” Chelsea stated, “I mean what… Is it a person or animal or neither?”

"Person. I'm not that weird." Cade really hoped she wouldn't guess it. If she did, that was another secret out.

“Is it someone in this group?” Chelsea asked, smirking. It’s Scarlet, isn’t it?

"You'll have to be more specific." Cade stalled. "What group? I'm a part of many groups."

Chelsea raised an eyebrow and took a sip of her hot cocoa, “Quinn, Harper, Scarlet, and Willow.”

"Well then…yes." His brain began to panic.

“Scarlet?”

Cade cleared his throat. "Y…maybe…" He mumbled.

“Thought so.” Chelsea smirked, “Suppose that’s that’s another secret.”

"That you won't tell anyone, right?"

“Of course I won’t. And I don’t think I need to. Pretty sure everyone in this general area could hear you.”

Scarlet, funsuhshing off her apple in the kitchen, heard this and almost dropped it. What?! She had never felt more conflicted in her life. On one hand, he was cute. On the other hand, she wasn’t quite over Colin. On one hand, she liked him back, on the other, she’d just met him.

"S***." Cade looked around to see who was in the room.

Scarlet’s heart pounded and her cheeks flushed just thinking about those words. It wasn’t possible.

Chelsea smirked.

Cade stood up abruptly. "Well ladies, I must be going." He nodded and left the house, going to sit out in the garden.

Scarlet, afraid that someone would come into the kitchen and see her, tried to slip out silently into the bathroom.

“Good luck Scarlet.” Chelsea said, standing up and going off to find Willow.
