“Interesting,” Blaine mumbled as she leaned over to look at the pages over Andion’s shoulder. “Any idea what kind of magic?”

“Elemental magic was the most common. Though it depends on family and the person and who they studied from so it could be anything.” She shrugged.

Of course it could be anything… Our job just can’t be easy, can it?

“Elemental magic was most common in the royal family, then, too?” Blaine asked, looking back over at Kyra.

Kyra nodded, “Correct. Although the Prince seemed to take a liking to the more.. dangerous parts of the magic field.”

Blaine quirked an eyebrow. Of course he had… They just couldn’t have an easy job, could they?

“Such as?”

“Necromancy, the dark arts, manipulation of minds and darkness that sort of thing.” She looked to Andion who was holding the book, then back to Blaine, “Be careful around him, you never know what could happen.”

I’m being too curious.

Blaine gave the woman a small smile and nodded. “Of course. We simply have some questions the next time they are seeing people.”

Kyra nodded, starting to become a little suspicious about their intentions but didn’t question them, “Of course, it’s understandable. Anyway, if there’s anything else you need ask it now, there’s things I need to attend to.”

Blaine glanced over at Andion. “I don’t have anything else. Did you?”

Andion shook his head, “Not really. Can we take the book? We’ll return it once we’ve finished.”
Kyra thought about it for a moment, “You promise to return it?”

“We’ll return it,” Blaine promised with a nod, silently commending his thought to grab the book.

Kyra seemed to trust Blaine more then Andion so she nodded, "Okay then, you can borrow it. But return it as soon as you can and don't let anyone else read it."

“Of course,” Blaine agreed as she pushed herself to her feet. “Thank you for your time. We’ll give this back as soon as we can.”

“You’re welcome.” Kyra offered the two a smile, watch Andion close the book and tuck it under his arm as he stood.
“We’ll see you soon, then.” He smiled back, holding out his hand for Blaine.

“Take care,” Blaine said as she took Andion’s hand and followed him out the door.

As the door shut behind them, Andion let out a breath, "Well… that was not what I was expecting at all."

“No, it wasn’t…” Blaine agreed with a sigh. “This is going to be fun.”

Andion snorted, "And if by fun you mean difficult, painful and strange then yes, it will be fun."

“That is exactly what I meant,” Blaine said with a slight chuckle. “I was being sarcastic.”

“Good. Because honestly if you weren’t then I would be very confused.” Andion smirked slightly, shaking his head a little.

“Aren’t you always confused by me, love?” Blaine teased, glancing up at him with a smirk.

Andion rolled his eyes, nudging Blaine with his hip, "Okay yes, I am, but I'd be even more confused then I usually am."

Blaine chuckled, stretching up to kiss his cheek quickly. “C’mon, we should be heading back to the room. It’s getting dark out now.”

“That’s true. I’m just hoping that Jamil doesn’t make too much noise while we’re trying to rest.” Andion sighed softly, smiling at the kiss.

“Oh, I’m sure we can handle it. It’s not like we need a silent room to sleep, not with everything that was going on at the guild or that boat,” Blaine joked.

Andion snorted, “Okay that’s fair. But seriously, Jamil is loud like, very loud. Like, you could be down the street and you’d still here him when he’s drunk.”

“Well… Then yeah, let’s hope he’s not too loud,” Blaine chuckled a bit, adding with a teasing wink, “And if he is, then we could just make our own noise.”

Andion smirked down at her, “If that’s what you want precious then we can make our own noise.”

Blaine smirked up at him in response, walking in front of him by a couple of steps to sway her hips teasingly. “Well, c’mon then. Let’s go see what’s going on.”

Andion let his gaze drag over her for a moment, “You’re a tease, and I hope you know that.”
