YAY!!!
ON ANOTHER NOTE.
I JUST FINISHED A ROUGH DRAFT OF THE FIRST CHAPTER OF THE FIRST BOOK OF THE BOOK SERIES I'M TRYING TO WRITE!!!
HOOORAAYYYY!!!
I Feel so good right now I can't even.
That's amazing! I've been trying to work on my "character pile" a little more to see if I can actually make it into a story, I haven't done much so far but I'm finally starting to notice little bits of progress!
I've been trying to find time and motivation to write for months now! I just started writing and I reached a spot and my brain went, "END OF CHAPTER" and I'm like: YES!!!!
=D
I'm still really happy and filled with self pride right now…
Now to start the SECOND chapter!!
YOU CAN DO IT!!!!
YES I CAN!
YAY!!!
ON ANOTHER NOTE.

YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
It's just too bad that I have a long way to go before I can bring in my gay boi..
Honestly I'm in the same situation, Starry. Only I'm on chapter 8 and it's still going to be a while until my guy enters the story.
I have one (1) character and her not-completed-yet backstory. That's pretty much it.
That's a start though. I mean, my story that I'm working on started out with two characters, loosely planned-out backgrounds, and the intent for them to end up together. Not only did I decide to not make them a couple, but they also try to kill each other at least once, so that's fun.
My gays are already active in the plot
Most of mine are, it's just that one guy I haven't introduced yet. He just so happens to be one of my favorite characters I've created because he breaks a TON of stereotypes and tropes, and he's really fun to write (I've messed around with future scenes and used him in RPs.)
My gays are already active in the plot
I have to wait until my boi heals from trauma and another to die, before I can bring in actual gayness…
Lmaooo I know the exact feel! PM me any chapters if you'd like critiquing.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh it's officially been over 4 months since I last finished a digital painting and I'm LOSING MY EVERLIVING MIND… Every time I go to try and color something I end up losing all the beauty of the sketch and then find myself completely giving up on the finished piece.
…I just want something to feel proud of, dang it
Have you ever tried abstract? (Which is filled with happy mistakes?)
I have, multiple times actually, but I never feel satisfied with the end results.
hmm… Idk how to help then…
Could you potentially make copies of the sketch, keep the original, and paint/color over the copies so if you mess up or are unsatisfied, you still have the original? Plus if you did that, you could experiment with multiple techniques on the same drawing.
I already do that, however, after a few days, I usually spot a ton of mistakes in the sketch and no longer see it as something worth finishing…
I think that's just kind of an artist thing. There are always going to be things you perceive as flaws. You just have to find a way to think of them as beautiful.
When you're doing art, mistakes are how you learn, and yeah, sometimes you feel unproductive, but that's okay.
I think the big thing here is finish your work, even if you don't think it's worth finishing. Just completing something you're not 100% satisfied with gives you a little more sense of accomplishment than just giving up.
(Also you're only 13, and I think your artwork is absolutely amazing! You have a true gift, and it's natural to be hard on yourself when you want to improve even more.)
"""
I'll keep that in mind.
You should!
Jolly good advice, Bec!
