Rio glanced in the mirrior and gaped in shock. "F-Fiona?? What's going on here???"
Rio glanced in the mirrior and gaped in shock. "F-Fiona?? What's going on here???"
Neither one answered although the reflection did glance over at him for a second. She only gripped the edge of the sink harder, she wouldn't let her reflection win.
Rio stared at it. "Fiona??" He was genuinely worried.
The black mist only grew until it swallowed her reflection whole. It took a minute but it eventually disappeared, leaving just her normal reflection behind.
Rio stared at her, unsure of what to say.
"You know, it's considered rude to stare. Especially at a woman like this."
"Did you see…. in the mirror…?"Rio gaped at her.
"Yes, I did. It happens sometimes. Can't help it, can't stop it. It was scary at first but now it doesn't really bother me."
"What was it??"
"A vision. Well, more of a nightmare. It's basically a physical representation of a fear of mine. That one was manipulation. My fear that someone will take advantage of me and try to control me."
Rio frowned. "You get visions?" He asked, trying to clarify.
"Clearly, seeing as you walked in on one."
Rio sighed, "I'm.. I'm just gonna leave, and let you finish… uhm…" he sighed, slipping back into the living room to bang his head with a big cookbook from her shelf. IDIOT
"Don't hurt yourself now!" She closed the door and finally got dressed, waltzing out to where he was.
Rio had put the book down before she came out, "yeah.. sorry for walking in on you…" he said sheepishly.
"Mhm, sure. Any normal guy would've either seen just the towel or the black reflection and left. But no, you're not normal." She chuckled.
"I've seen my best friend possessed, so no. I'm not normal." he said.
"Yeah neither am I." She leaned on the wall slightly. "So why are you even here?"
"I came to bring you these, and make sure you were ok.."
"I'm fine. I don't need anyone else's help." Her voice was suddenly sharp, cold. She was shutting everyone out again. She was scared to make friends and scared to fall in love so she kept everyone away.
Rio blinked at her sudden harshness. "Fiona, I don't know whatyou're scared of, but you're not pushing m and Rash away that easily.
I'm scared that you'll get cut on my edges and I don't want to hurt anyone else… "I'm not scared! I just don't need help."
"I almost wish I were a telelpath, then maybe I could figure out why you're so scared and help you…" he said regretfully, knowing she was lying to some degree.
"I'm not going to hurt anyone else. I'm not going to let other people's lives come to an end because of me. Not again." Her tone was bitter, like the words themselves were sour in her mouth.
Rio watched her for a moment, "I'm sure whoever it is you hurt, wouldn't want you to keep going like this.."
"I'm not letting anyone else end up like my brother." Her tone was still strong and sour but her eyes were lined with tears. "Not if I can help it. If it means my own isolation, then so be it."
Rio watched her sadly, "I'm sure your brother wouldn't have wanted this…" he said quietly.
"You didn't know him." She snapped. "You don't know what he would've wanted for me." He would trust me to make the right decision…wouldn't he?
"I know that" said Rio..
"And besides, the only way I know you two are safe from the unpredictable mess that is me is if I know you two are as far away as possible so please…just leave me alone…I don't need anyone else getting hurt." She drew back a little, retreating into the hallway.
