She smiled softly, "I would have loved to meet your mother, she was an amazing woman." She thought for a moment and laid her head back on his chest, "I think that your father would have been happy with whatever woman you chose, you would just have to give him some time to be mad and make my job a little bit worse."
He shook his head "I wouldn't let him do that, not to you." he tightened his grip around her protectively and kissed the top of her head
She nodded happily and started humming again softly, looking at the pancake and flipping it quickly, "Almost done, then we can eat."
"Soon," he said glancing over at the stack she had created "your good at cooking love."
"Thank you," She laughed lightly and shrugged, "Working in the kitchens does make you a fairly good cook."
"I bet it does." he kissed the top of her head "Up for making dinner tonight?" he joked
She took the pancake off the pan and turned the stove off, smiling lightly, "If you want me to, I don't mind cooking."
He shook his head "no, I have a place we can go in mind. You'll like it." He confirmed, realising her from his hold to help with the food
"Alright then." She looked up at him before bringing the plate of pancakes to the table, smiling brightly at the set table.
He followed her with syrup and sugar "like it? I couldn't decide between the flowers…" He shrugged "drinks?" He asked, heading back to the kitchen
She nodded happily, "It's beautiful, and I love the flowers." She brushed her fingers over one after setting the food down, "If you could bring drinks in that would be amazing."
He nodded with a smile and got some tea with honey, along with a special blue herbal mix that made the tea turn naturally purple when mixed in
Avalin sat down and looked at the table with a smile, taking one of the pancakes and putting it on her plate before he could take it.
He came over with the tea and set a cup down in front of her. "I see we were hungry after all. He smiled and sat across from her
"I'm a little hungry," She admitted, picking up the container of syrup and studying it carefully, "This is supposed to go ontop of the pancakes right?" She smiled and looked at him for the answer.
He nodded with a smile "Or on the side if you want to dip pieces of the pancake into the syrup.there's no wrong way to do it."
She nodded and poured a small pool of syrup next to the pancake, ripping a small piece off and dipping it in before eating it.
"They're good?" He asked, taking a bite myself
"I like them," She smiled and ripped off another piece, not bothering to use silverware and just eating it with her fingers.
He laughed and shook his head "we can make more if you're really that hungry love." He reasured with another chuckle
She shook her head, "I'll be fine," Popping another piece of the pancake in her mouth she motioned for him to start eating.
He nodded and started to eat, sipping on some of the tea he had made earlier
She continued eating, every once in a while taking a sip of the delicious tea as she finished her first pancake and then another.
He raised his eyebrows in surprise "If I'd known you love Midgard breakfast foods, I would've taken you here on our first date."
She laughed lightly, shaking her head, "I liked our first date as it was, and I like finally being able to come here with you now."
He nodded with a nostalgic smile "shooting me with arrows that were 'blunted' was better than coming to Midgard?" he winked and ate more of his breakfast
"I didn't know you were lying about them being blunted," She pretended to scowl at him but a small smile appeared on her face anyway.
He shrugged "my love, your talking about the God of mischiefs, of course they weren't blunted." He grinned and watched her from his seat
She rolled her eyes and the smile grew, "I knew that, but I didn't really think about it. I figured that you would never give me sharp arrows because you're the prince and everyone would be mad and probably kill me if I hit you with a sharp arrow."
"I've told you this before love, no one is going to touch you. Not if they don't want all hell to break loose from me." He reasured, taking g a sip of tea
