William blinked, pulling away, cocking his head to side. “I hope you know that’s not what I meant,” he scrunched his nose, kissing the base of her neck. “I’m not going any further than this. I’d like to take it slow and easy.”
William blinked, pulling away, cocking his head to side. “I hope you know that’s not what I meant,” he scrunched his nose, kissing the base of her neck. “I’m not going any further than this. I’d like to take it slow and easy.”
Amber let out a long, somewhat shaky sigh. “Okay… Okay. Can I… Can I just have a minute? Please?”
William stepped away from her, eyebrows furrowed in worry. He’d overstepped his boundaries. He inwardly cursed.
“Yeah,” he breathed out, giving her space. “Take all the minutes you need, Blue.”
“Thank you. I won’t be long, I promise,” Amber sighed, pulling away gently.
She made her way into her room, where she shut rye door behind herself. Placing her head in her hands, she took a few deep, calming breaths.
She was okay. She didn’t have to do that. Even if she wanted to, she couldn’t right now. She couldn’t throw hat away again. And he wouldn’t make her.
When she was calm, she rubbed at her face and let out another sigh. It was a few minutes later, but she was good now. She could go see William. She could do this.
And she did. She made her way back out, crossedbhe room to his turned-away form, and wrapped her arms around him from behind.
William frowned to himself, arms crossed. His girlfriend’s reaction was perplexing. It was worrying. What had happened to her to cause such a reaction? Who did that to her—to his Blue? His gem?
William’s jaw clenched as he thought of ways he could hurt the ones who made her this way. He didn’t have a lot of time to think over it when he felt arms wrap around him. Immediately, his anger washed off. He turned around to wrap his own around his girlfriend, pulling her close, breathing her in.
“Hey, there,” he murmured. “Is everything okay?
“Yeah. Sorry about that… I’ll explain some day, I promise,” Amber vowed, burying her face in his chest. “I just can’t right now.”
William ran his fingers through her hair as comfort.
“I hope you know that your past won’t change my view on you,” he said softly. “I will care for both you from the past and you in the present, no matter what.”
Amber smiled softly and pulled back just enough that she could look at him. "Thank you. I appreciate it more than you know," she murmured. She pushed herself up into her toes to gently press their lips together for a moment. "That was a 'thank you' kiss."
William smiled down at her before he gently pressed their lips together. “And here’s my ‘You’re welcome’,” he murmured. “Let’s go to the couch? I’m rather tired standing up, and I want to hold you close.”
"Sounds like a good plan," Amber agreed, grinning uk at him for a moment longer before she pulled away more to make her way over to the couch. "Cuddles make everything better."
William chuckled, following after her as he took his seat on the couch, wrapping an arm around her waist and pulling her into his lap.
“Just cuddles?” He breathed againt her neck. “Have you forgotten your ice cream, Blue?”
"I was thinking we'd just do cuddles…" Amber murmured, pretending as if that hadn't just made her shiver. In a good way, of course. "Ice cream… What about ice cream?"
William, taking note of her shiver, smiled to himself as his hold on her tightened. “You said cuddles always make things better,” he explained. “So I questioned the purpose of ice cream in your life.”
"Oh, they both do. Ice cream and cuddles are the best," Amber mused, leaning into him further.
William rested his head on her neck, closing his eyes. “You know, I wouldn’t have imagined going out with the woman I tried to kick out of the dorm,” he chuckled. “Ironic.”
(He rested his shoulder on her neck?)
“Mm, isn’t it?” Amber chuckled with him, twisting around slightly to kiss he side of his head. “I’m just glad we both cane to our senses enough to realize that we like each other.”
(Shoot. xD)
William hummed in agreement. "Perhaps you drunk-kissing me served its purpose," he teased, nuzzling her neck. "I kept wanting to kiss you afterward."
(Lol.)
“Oh? Well, I guess drunk me doesn’t make all bad decisions, then,” Amber hummed, reaching back to poke his cheek.
"Yeah, right," William snorted, snatching her hand and kissing it lightly. "You make terrible decisions, Blue, whether you are drunk or sober."
Amber crinkled her nose and turned to face him. “Do not. This isn’t a bad decision, is it?” she questioned before leaning over an pressing their lips together.
William kissed her back, hand resting on the back of her neck to press their mouths together harder. “Well, that’s one good decision,” he muttered against her lips.
Amber pulled away with a snort. “Well, I’m glad you like my kissing at least, then,” she teased.
William smirked, touching their foreheads together in affection. "Well, you might need some work on it but…" he trailed off before locking eyes with her. "You're not too bad, Blue."
“Is that a challenge, dear boyfriend?” Amber questioned, raising her eyebrows at him as she moved so that she was fully facing him.
“You can take it however you want, dear girlfriend,” William challenger, returning her gaze, hands making their way on her hips.
Amberlooked at him steadily before smirking and leaning forward just enough that their lips were brushing together as she murmured, “I think it is a challenge.”
William’s eyes hardened, darkening slightly as she brushed their lips together. It took everything out of him to not lean forward and clasp them together. “And if it is, what are you going to do about it?”
“Mm… I think I’ll go get something to eat, is what I’m going to do,” Amber teased with a grin as she pulled away.
It was a challenge to see who would crumble first, to see who would drop everything and forfeit.
It was William.
He growled, grabbing Amber and twisting around so she was pinned underneath him. His eyes narrowed, her wrists in his hold. “And where, may I ask, are you going after being so tempting, Blue?”
“I was going to go to the kitchen,” Amber started breathily, her eyes wide and blinking as she looked up at him. “But now I think I’ll stay here…”
