Briar looked at him "are you alright".

Caleb avoids her eyes and just nods. "Yeah. Fine." He started to slip past her.

Briar sighd going back to the kithen.

Caleb knew he was lying, but he didn't know how much Briar had changed since highschool and didn't want to do or say something wrong. He chewed his lip as he headed to the kitchen and reached around Lizzie. "Let me help, Sprite. I shouldn't have left you to do this yourself. Sorry. I wasn't feeling too good."

"she cooks everyday caleb".

Caleb didn't like hearing that, but he just pressed his lips together and stayed silent, carrying a pot of noddles over to the sink to drain.

briar sat down in a chair putting her hands in her hair and on her right hand she had a ring on her middle ringer which was a ring caleb gave her freshman year.

Caleb looked at her and said softly, but not quite kindly, "So. You kept it…"

she looked at him "yeah" was all she said.

Caleb poured the boiling noodles into a strainer. "Why?"

"Because……. with this ring it felt like I had a little piece of you with me" she said.

Caleb raised an eyebrow. "It's junk. I'll get you a better one." He strode over and wrapped his arms around her. "Maybe one fit for an engagement ring..??" He breathed in her ear. 'Please don't reject me. Please don't reject me. Please don't reject me. Please don't reject me….'

"w-what" she said breathlessly.

Caleb looked at her lovingly. "You heard me…"

Briar's mouth was open ever so slightly as she looked up at him in awe.

Caleb was worried now. "P-please..? I want to stay with you forever.."

Briar reached up and kissed him.

Caleb squeaked, but kissed her back, eyes closing slowly. "Mmm…"

Briar started to slowly pull away.

Caleb didn't want her to. He pulled her closer and kissed her again, hungrily. He had missed her kisses so much..

Briar placed her hands on his shoukders.

Caleb pulled her against him, his hands roaming through her hair and over her body. "I missed you so much.. I never want to leave you again.." He whispered when he pulled back for air. He kissed her again.

She kissed him back her hand playing with his hair.

Caleb leaned down and kissed her neck.

"mhhh……C-caleb our daughter" she said not wanting to stop .

Caleb backed off reluctantly, but nipped her ear, hissing under his breath. "You're not escaping tonight~" Then he cradled her. "Will you marry me then?"

Briar smiled "I would love to marry you Caden" she said.

Caleb smiled. "I'm glad… He nosed her ear and whispered in her ear teasingly. "Think Lizzie'd like a brother or sister..~?"

Briar blushed slightly "perhaps" she said.

Caleb smirked and hummed as he slid a hand to Briar's tummy. "Well then. I'd like to see a child of mine grow~" He kissed her cheek and traced circles on her stomach. "I love you… so much.."
