“I didn’t bring my car,” William all but growled at even the thought of her warmth leaving him. “So we’ll be taking your car and I’ll be driving you insane the entire ride home.”

Amber glared at him playfully. "You'd better not," she warned as she began to drag him outside. "Or else you may find yourself on the side of the road."

“I make no promises,” he offered her a wink, purposely putting most of his weight on his girlfriend. “But I guess I wouldn’t want my girlfriend to throw me out, huh?”

Amber grinned at the words. “No, boyfriend, you would not,” she chuckled.

"And you would be in much trouble if you did," William pulled her to his chest, resting his chin on the top of her head and breathing deeply. "Now, where is your car? I'm going to catch a cold at this rate."

“I’ve been trying to get there, but someone keeps distracting me,” Amber teased, burying her face in his neck.

"You're blaming me?" William chuckled, resting one of his hands on her lower back. "How is it my fault that you keep getting distracted?"

“Because you’re the one who keeps hugging me or kissing me,” Amber chuckled.

“You could just reject my advances,” William shrugged. “Basically, you just can’t refuse, so you pin the blame on me.”

Amber grinned and kissed his cheek. “Basically,” she replied playfully before pulling away again. “Now, c’mon. Let’s go home.”

William smiled down at her before shrugging.

“Yeah, let’s go home now,” he murmured, linking their fingers together. “No distractions this time.”

The ride was filled with a comfortable silence on the way to the dorm. Amber glanced over at William a few times, as if reassuring herself that this was really real. That he was really hers.

When they arrived, she put the car in park and climbed out. She waited for Will to get out before locking the doors and moving to unlock the dorm.

Though William had his eyes closed, he could feel Amber’s eyes on him many, many times. He fought a smile that threatened to take over his lips. Finally, Amber parked the car and stepped out, William following after her.

When they entered the dorm, William shut the door behind him and locked eyes with Amber. “I suppose I should shower now before kissing you again, right?”

Amber smiled up at him, one side of her lips quirking up in a half smirk. “Yes. Yes, you should,” she chuckled. “I’ll be waiting for you on the couch.”

William nodded at her, leaving to get a fresh change of clothes before he entered the bathroom. When the water hit him, William sighed heavily, relaxing. Amber had said yes. She was his. His Blue. What if he woke up in the morning to find that it was all a dream? What would he do if it was a dream?

I’ll make her mine again.

William finally turned off the shower, drying himself off and slipping on his clothes. He exited the bathroom, walking over to the couch and flopping down, pulling his girlfriend on top of him.

“Hey, there,” he shot her a smirk. “Missed me?”

“Hey!” Amber exclaimed in surprise when she was pulled on top of him. She adjusted herself so that she was comfortable and rested her chin on his chest. “Yes, terribly. Now, I believe we had plans for this evening…?”

William smirked, tucking a strand of her hair behind her ear. “What plans?” He quirked an eyebrow. “Mind filling me in?”

“Mm, I think they involved lots of cuddling. And possibly some of this…” Amber murmured before pecking him teasingly on the lips.

“Some of this?” William repeated, pulling himself up so he could clasp their lips together again, not taking her teasing lightly. His hand cupped her cheek gently as he kissed her, legs tangled with hers.

“Mmhm,” Amber hummed into his mouth, a small smile crossing her lips before she wiped it away to kiss him better. “That…”

William bit down gently on her bottom lip to tease her. He pressed his elbows against the couch to hold himself up, lips firmly clasped with hers. “You are beautiful,” he breathed out. “Especially when you wear my jacket.”

“Shuddup,” Amber mumbled, feeling her cheeks heating up at both hisbwords and his actions.

William chuckled, pulling away to look at her intently. He cocked his head to the side, taking in her flushed cheeks and the dazed look in her eyes.

“Are you really mine?” He breathed out, rubbing her cheek with his thumb softly. “You aren’t afraid?”

Amber bumped her nose against his, taking deep breaths to calm her racing heart. “Yes. I’m yours,” she promised in a whisper. “And, no. I’m not afraid.”

William kissed her nose, smiling softly. She wasn't afraid. He pulled her down so her head rested on his chest and his arms secured around her so they were curled up on the couch.

"Amber Page," he murmured her name, running his fingers through her hair. "Your name suits you. Soul of the tiger. Jewel."

Amber hummed as he ran his fingers through her hair, letting her eyes fall softly shut. “Does it? I never thought about it.”

"No?" he closed his eyes, loving the feeling of her wrapped around him. "Well, now you can think about it."

“I might do that, but I probably won’t,” Amber chuckled softly, wrapping her arms around him tighter and snuggling close.

William felt his body getting heavier and he released a breath, feeling himself getting thrown into sleep. Before he knew it, he was resting in darkness, but it was peaceful.

Amber had fallen silent, simply enjoying being with him like this. A few minutes later, she noticed his deep breathing and opened her eyes. She smiled as she realized he’d fallen asleep, then lightly kissed his cheek before resting her head on his chest again. Not long after, she was asleep as well.
