Scarlett pulled out her notebook and textbook, laying them out in front of herself and starting quietly on the first problem. She listened to his singing with a smile as she worked, her foot tapping along.

"She is lonely most of the time She is all of this mixed up and baked in a beautiful pie She is gone, but she used to be mine." he sang softly, glancing down at her homework

The problem was quite confusing but she didn't want to ask Jasper how to solve it and stop singing, she'd just have to try her best until he was done.

The door opened, Lily's mother coming to the studio. Lily ran to her mothers arms and waved at jasper. He waved back and stood to talk to the mother "She was great today." he praised the young girl."
The mother nodded "thank you jasper, are you sure there's anyhting we can do?"
"of course. and no. I do this for free, don't worry about it." he said. Once they left, jasper sat back down next to Scarlet "stuck?"

"A little," She mumbled, focusing intently on the problem before dropping her pencil in frustration, "How is this so easy for you?" She questioned, scowling at the page of scribbles and work.

He shrugged "Dont know," he took the book from the floor and looked at the problem. He turned to a fresh page and write the problem again, explaining a way a teacher had taught him that was much easier than what she had drawn out "try this."

She listened carefully and nodded, "This makes a little more sense than what my teacher had taught." Scarlett smiled lightly and nodded again, "Scratch that, this makes a lot more sense."

He chuckled and handed back the notebook "so how'd you do in class?" he asked, leaning back and turning down the song

She shrugged and started working on the problem, "Her teaching makes sense when she's in the room to explain it, not so much five minutes later."

He laughed "so you learn through different explanations or when its put in simpler terms?" he noticed with a nod

"Yeah, I suspect that my inability to figure out math problems has something to do with as well though." She smiled and finished the problem, showing it to him, "Did I do this right?"

He looked it over, doing the problem out himself to make sure it was right. He nodded proudly "Yep! See, you've got this, now 5 more." he handed back the notebook and pointed to one of the problems

She wrinkled her nose and sighed, "Fine," Writing down the next question and started working, humming to herself as she worked.

He watched her work, pointing out some tips when she made a face of confusion. He kissed her cheek and stood "keep going, I'm getting milkshakes, want one?"

She nodded, "Obviously, chocolate please." She smiled and went back to working on her homework.

He nodded and went across the street "one vanilla and one chocolate please." Once he got their shakes, Jasper headed back to the studio
"JASSIE!"
"Crap…."

She continued working on her homework, humming again and going through the problems as best she could.

He walked faster but Lara cut him off "and where do you think your going? With not one but two drinks? Your either very thirsty or you have company." She raised an eyebrow and placed a hand on his shoulder "We haven't been spending time together. I get lonely…." He ducked under her arm and made his way to the studio, opening the door and handing Scarlet her drink. Unfortunately, Lara was behind him "ah so this is the Sprite who's been following you around." She sneered, glaring at Scarlet "a school girl, you know all that's up there is nonsense right?"

"Thanks.." She said, tailing off when she saw that there was someone else with him, "Jassie? Who is this?" She closed her books and stood up, looking the new woman up and down, "And I'm going to say this now new girl, I'm not a sprite, and I probably know more than you, so back off."

He sighed "this is going to be hell," he muttered under his breath "Lara, this is scarlet, my girlfriend. Scar this is Lara, the one I was telling you about before." He took a sip of his shake
"Ah so Jassie talks about me? I'm honored Jasper." He giggled and winked
He just rolled his eyes and sat on the ground where scarlet had been
Lara faced Scarlet "you won't last long, darling. Not with him."

She scowled at Lara, "And why won't I?" She questioned, taking a sip of her milkshake before crossing her arms and watching the girl. Scarlett glanced down at Jasper for a moment and asked, "Did I do those right?" Before focusing back on her.

He nodded, checking over the problems
"Cuz…that's just who he is…he loves you than he leaves you." Jasper sighed "I was never loved you Lara." He said firmly "don't you dare compare me to my brother.

"There you go Lara, he didn't have feelings for you, now shoo." She motioned towards the door and took another sip of her drink.

"At least your brother knew a keeper when he saw one." she huffed and left the studio in a dramatic fashion.
Jasper rolled his eyes "RIght, cuz my brother knows what love is. He wouldn't know what it was if it smacked him in the face." she shook his head and took a sip of his drink. "Sorry about her, she's…an odd one."

She laughed lightly and shrugged, "I've met weirder people." She sat down next to him and sighed lightly, "School sucks.."

He kissed her template, resting his lips against her skin " it'll get better, don't worry."

"You sure?" She asked, rubbing her forehead and finishing off her milkshake with quite a few giant gulps.

"pretty sure. Especially when it's over." He joked. Kissing her temple once more, Jasper stood and discarded the cups. He played some soft classic rock sat back down "you handled yourself pretty dang well with Lara. I'm pretty sure college is a piece of cake."

She shrugged, "I've had to deal with people like Lara before, you just can't give them any room to make excuses or make up anything."

"And college is the same, you've dealt with school before, you just can't give yourself room for excuses or procrastinating." He said, using her words somewhat against her
