Rio laughed, though he paused when an abnormal current swept by. Rio frowned, "Why do you always have bad timing." he muttered, staring up at the surface.
Rio laughed, though he paused when an abnormal current swept by. Rio frowned, "Why do you always have bad timing." he muttered, staring up at the surface.
"Who is it now?" She glanced up at the surface, not immediately seeing anything worth noticing.
"My brother" Said Rio in annoyance, "Unfortunately that meas we have to surface" his arms wound gently around her waist. Then his tail moved, more than just a steadying flick as he propelled them upwards.
"Ohhhh, this is going to suck, isn't it?" She let the last moment stick in her memory, just so she could remember it.
"Who knows" said Rio, "Honestly you can never tell with him." One more powerful thrust and they broke the surface.
Rashi was hovering above the water, wind swirling around him. "Nice of you to allow me the pleasure of staying dry." He said wryly.
She just stared up at him with a 'Seriously?' look on her face. "Bit overdramatic but okay." She muttered under her breath.
"How else do you expect me to get out this far without swiming?" Asked Rashi, gesturing to the fact that land was very far away.
"Don't make me drag you in!" Said Rio, who had his arm around Fiona to support her. "Now what do you want?"
"Yeah that's a good question, why exactly are you here?" She brushed her now wet hair out of her eyes.
"Checking on my twin." Said Rashi, "and harping on him for going out with a beautiful lady, getting her soaking wet, and skipping out on work, and pulling an all-nighter."
"You were the reason I pulled the all-nighter," said Rio, "and wet wasn't a problem till we surfaced."
"And to be fair, I was kind of dying just a little bit so he kind of needed to watch to make sure I didn't bleed out on my bathroom floor."
"You're still soaking wet with my freakish twin." He said.
Rio glared at him. "Can you swim on your own for a moment?" He asked Fiona.
"If he's freakish then what does that make you?" She raised an eyebrow at Rashi before turning to Rio. "I suppose I can. Don't do anything too stupid."
"He's not showing his true form:" said Rio, "Mostly because he has more control." He let go of her, swimming closer to Rashi. Suddenly dipping under a few feet, then leaping up at his brother and towing him under with a loud splash.
She burst out laughing, knowing exactly how that felt since her brother used to do it to her all the time.
Rashi struggled, glaring at Rio. He could breath underwater too, but he hated being wet. Rio pushed him away, "Come on bro." he urged.
Rashi sighed, heading for the surface, his own light blue glow revealing scaled wings, and scales on his arms too as he resurfaced.
"Enjoy your swim there?" She giggled with a bright amused smile.
Rashi was fuming as he tried to get some air out of the water, his huge wings flailing.
Rio resurfaced, laughing. He flicked a finger and A pillar of water launched Rashi into the air, allowing him to regain his aloof status in the air.
"Ahh siblings. You love them and hate them at the same time." She giggled, just watching them.
Rio grinned while Rashi sighed, "That is the exact definition of our relationship." they said, in completely different tones.
"Yeah I know the feeling. Used to have a brother of my own." She chuckled softly, remembering her own brother.
"You have no idea what it's like to have a twin who is your literal opposite in every way imaginable." said the two simultaneously.
"Okay water rat are you trying to get beat up again?" asked Rashi.
"There's a lady present." said Rio. "So no."
"Maybe not a twin but having a little brother isn't a walk in the park either. Being an older sister sucks sometimes."
"Got that too" said Rio, "No idea where the squirt is at the moment but he's around."
"And being the older twin is a pain." said Rashi.
"At least your siblings are alive." She muttered sadly under her breath. She forced her sadness down, she'd already cried about this once today, it wasn't happening again.
Rashi flinched, eyes locked on her as he forced an iron hard control over his abilities.
Rio swam to her, pulling her into a hug. "Hey, it's ok…" he began humming trying to soothe her.
She squeezed him tight and forced her years of pain and sadness into the drawer that they'd been coming out of. She'd deal with it later. "And you say you're not a siren." She chuckled.
"I'm not" said Rio, floating in the water.
Rashi sighed when she calmed, glad that she'd somehow gotten control of her emotions, but worried at the same time.
"Oh but you are." She flicked her hair out of her face once again. "And nothing you say is going to change my mind."
Rashi smirked, "He is a pretty good musician, though he refuses to show off." he said, earning a glare from Rio.
"See? You are a siren! I knew it!" She laughed, twisting a piece of hair around her finger.
