Damian lay back, enjoying the peaceful moment.

"I ;ove you Damian" she said.

"Love you too Briar" he said softly,

she looked up at him a grin.

Damian smiled back, ruffling her hair a bit.

she kissed his cheek before starting to get up.

Damian pulled his feet out from under her so he could stand, watching warily out into the dim and misty forest.

Briar sttod waiting for him to get up.

Getting to his feet he nodded to her, "Assuming that Alec has given up by now, what do you think about heading to Nightshade territory?" he asked.

she layed her head onhis shoulder and nodded.

Damian wrapped an arm around her shoulder, leading her out of the cavern and into the thick trees.

Briar winced slightly he had touched right where she had been scrathed yesterday.

Damian felt her wince, and moved his hand to her waist, a look of concern on his face.

she looked at him "it's nothing" she said.

"You sure?"

"Yeah i just got scrathed" she said.

"When?" asked Damian, slightly concerned.

"when i was riding you yesterday" she said.

Damian's face fell, "Tree get you?" he asked sheepishly.

she nodded.

Damian hugged her, "Sorry…" he said, leaning over to kiss her forehead.

she smiled softly "it's not your fault".

Damian nodded, "Still," he said, Sighing, "Want to ride again? Or shall we walk til we escape these trees.

she ran a hand down his cheek "your tired".

"Nah!" said Damian with a slight grin, "I could run all day!"

she playfully rolled her eyes "you can run im walking".

Damian rolled his eyes, "I'm not running without you" he said.

"then were walking love" she said.

"Fine by me sweetheart" replied Damian, pulling her close to his side.

Briar giggled a bit at the nickname.
