thanks a lot, you broke her
Gabriel slowly descends, kneeling beside her. He touches her shoulder with one hand, gripping it a little.
It's okay, Kis- aih, Silver. Silver, geez.
He peaks through his black hair and down at her hair, caught up in the cold wind.
Focus on one thing. You don't need to focus on it all.
For a second his presence overwhelmed her raging consciousness, and then he touched her and everything slowed. Didn't stop. Didn't go away. Just slowed. She still felt everything, but it wasn't all at once. Everything was still there, but it wasn't railing on her to pay attention to each tiny thing. She sorted through all the excess and pushed it away, so she felt it from more of a distance.
She took a deep, shaky breath and her stomach eased it's twisting. Once all the extra stuff was pushed away, she felt Gabriel beside her, his hand on her shoulder, and everything inside him channeling into her.
Fear, confusion, self-doubt, fear, compassion, anxiety, fear, terror, hopelessness, fear.
She gasped again, this time from her own heart taking on everything she felt him consumed with. She shoved herself up and grabbed his arm, gathering up all the darkness and fear inside him and pulling it away, replacing it with a cloud of calm and peace and love and safety. She couldn't make him accept it, but she could smother him with it from all sides.
He sits still, his hand still on her, and stays the same.
Don't. Don't try that please.
He looks up at the night sky and sighs yet again.
I can't take her. Maybe… Maybe I'll bring back the other one. The big one. They've wanted him for a while.
(WHAT IF WE MADE AN APOCALYPTIC RP But from the zombies view and a virus has started turning zombies into humans and they're totally horrified XD)
She could feel his resignation and hopelessness, how he didn't even try to accept her help. Tears welled up in her eyes; it was just so. much. Still trying to pull the sadness away from him, she crawled forward and wrapped her arms around his neck, sobbing into his shoulder. There was something else in him, something he was fighting over, but she was too overwhelmed and exhausted to understand it yet.
Gabriel bites the inside of his lip, still a bit conflicted inside.
It doesn't matter who she is. She's small. She' needs help. Why not me?
He wraps his arms around her and pulls her into his cold embrace (he's always cold).
Because you're a monster.
(HA he finally hugged her back)
She curled up into him, tucking her wings as small and tiny behind her as she could. "Why are you so sad?" she choked out between her sobs.
She cried on his shoulder until his shirt was wet before the pain and emotion in her chest eased. Slowly her sobs subsided until she sat up and wiped her face, surveying his soggy shirt apologetically. "I'm sorry," she sniffed.
A faint smile crosses his lips, only for a moment though.
"Heh, it's been wetter before, I'm sure."
Gabriel.
Gabriel no.
Stop.
He catches some of her soft hair in his fingers and runs them through it.
OH
MY
WORD
(He's such a little derp XD)
She took another deep breath, her chest still quivering but getting steadier. His touch was so calming, grounding. "Well. I didn't turn invisible." She gave him a lopsided smile.
(He likes blonde hair)(they can be friends)
Indeed you did not
He looks up at the sky, slowly standing now that she's not leaning on him.
Kissa doesn't react like that when I calm her. What is Silver seeing in me?
He glances down to Sil before quickly looking back to the sky.
I want to know.
Silver wiped her face again and heaved a sigh before standing up as well. "I should…" She wanted to go home and sleep now but she couldn't just leave Gabriel. But nor did she know if taking him back to everyone was a good idea. "Where… do you have a…"
She couldn't just send him back to wherever he had come from. Who knew what he had to live with.
He had to stay with her. Even if that meant risking Ben murdering her.
She took a deep breath and looked up at him. "Do you want to come back with me?"
Yes. That'll lead me right to them.
He looks back down to her, just noticing the height difference between them.
Say yes.
"I…"
Yes.
"I don't know…"
What?? You don't know?
She peered up at him, her head craned far back. "Do you have anywhere else to go?" she asked. "That's safe?" she added quietly. She put her hand on his arm. "You'll be safe with us. I'll take care of you."
Go, Gabe.
He creases his eyebrows together and looks to the ground.
But then she won't be safe.
Your mission.
"I- where do you stay?"
speak up. She won't hear you.
Silver didn't answer right away, feeling the currants of emotion and debate inside him. No, he most certainly wasn't the best person to bring back to Ben's house. Who knew where he came from or who controlled him. But she wasn't going to leave him out here. She heaved a sigh and glanced out over the lake.
She'd just assume all responsibility of whatever happened. But he was coming with her no matter what. At least she knew something was up with him.
"We're currently staying at a friend's house. A bunch of us are keeping together and trying to figure out what to do."
Look, she'll lead you right to them!
It could be a trap.
But I'm trained and they're not.
"… That doesn't sound safe."
Silver shrugged. "Probably not. But it's the best we have right now. I meant you'd be safe with us. We're safe people. None of my friends will hurt you. We'll probably be running away to hide somewhere else in another day or so, but you'd be safe among us." Or he better be, or else Silver would beat Ben into a pulp.
'Safe people'. Ha! Sure. You're not very safe if you'll just let a random guy in.
He looks back to Sil, studying her face.
I'll come.
She smiled weakly. "It's not much, I know. But… well, you still might like it better than… going back. To wherever. Will you come?" She stepped away from him and prepared to launch into flight.
(I MANNA PLAY)
(okay but only one character)(we're already busting XD)
(I know babynanman so they're okay, right?)(@Bandito?)
She smiled weakly. "It's not much, I know. But… well, you still might like it better than… going back. To wherever. Will you come?" She stepped away from him and prepared to launch into flight.
I think I'd rather go back than talk.
He launches up before her, the black skin of his wings catching the wind around them.
(okay i'll just keep stalking)
(yeah, she's fine with me)
Silver rose in the air, using her wings, but also pushing herself up with her control over the air. Her accent was much smoother and more graceful than her previous attempt, and she didn't even need to jump first. Her wing strokes were more solid and even, as she subconsciousness kept herself in the air and helped herself fly by manipulating the air around her to help. She smiled at Gabe and nodded her head toward the city. "This way."
I can't believe I'm doing this
He follows, watching her wingstrokes and noting the things she did wrong.
