He shrugged "Sometimes?" he asked, adopting her smile "some would say we need marriage counseling. And those people are usually single." he said

Martha laughed. "People don't know anything about our love, do they? Love isn't as simple as it may seem. Yes, maybe at first, but when you look at the nitty-gritty, it's messy and complicated."

He nodded his head in a greement and ran a hand d through his tangled hair "no one will ever know the love, the pain, the passion, the hurt we hold in our hearts."

"True, dear. Tell me, why would I be the reason you live or die? Do you have nothing else you would want to live for?" Martha looked at him in curiosity.

He thought for a second and shook his head "other than keeping the memory of our son alive and you, no." He glanced down at her

Martha frowned slightly. "You don't want anything else? You don't want to have fun, go do what you want? Or is that all you ever think about? Granted, it's what I do, too, but I hope to move on. You must want to as well, no?" Martha shifted herself so that she was in a sitting position on the side of her cot.

He shrugged "I'd love to move on from this pain and hurt. But now I don't think it's going to happen, not in a few months." He said

"You can stay here. With me. If that helps. I know that living with an insane person might not help as much as seeing a doctor, but…I've never liked them anyway. The doctors." Martha kept an eye on Thomas as she stood, rubbing one of her eyes.

" I don't need a doctor." He said firmly "I would rather live with my insane wife in an asylum that's go see a doctor. Plus, what's so bad about going a little crazy? It can't do much harm than this world already has done." He stood slowly, knowing that any rushed movements panicked her, and stretched. "So we have two options, I get you out of here and take you home, or I stay here with you."
