"Also her only friend. Everyone else in the office is either jealous of her for being a goody two shoes or just straight up hate her for different reasons."
"Also her only friend. Everyone else in the office is either jealous of her for being a goody two shoes or just straight up hate her for different reasons."
Rio sighed, "Well you can count me and my twin the oddballs." He said, "Seeing as we never hated nor envied her."
"Shocking. The only other person she thought cared was her boyfriend but you saw how that worked out."
"Unfortunately me and Rash were just a few feet away when that happened." He said. "We could have intervened, but it happened too fast for us to do anything." He sighed. "Which is why she was mad at us yesterday."
"I mean, you could've at least asked if she was okay afterwards or something." She muttered under her breath.
"I know… and I regret not doing it." Said Rio with a sigh. "It all happened too quickly… and left me just as stunned as her… i know thats a bad excuse but It's all i got to say other than admitting that I made a mistake."
"Oh, trust me, you've seen her come in with worse from him. You just never noticed because she's a makeup master. But he'd been going to anger management classes, he seemed to be getting better so that's why she was so shocked. She's a sensitive soul, she really is."
"I can imagine" said Rio.
"Just…take it easy on her, okay? Its been a long week for her."
"Yeah, I plan on staying well away." Said Rio. "Now, as much as I enjoy talking to a rational human I have work to do." He said qryly as he slipped back to his office.
She opened her mouth to stop him, to tell him that leaving her alone was the biggest mistake he could make, but she stopped. It's not worth the trouble.
Rio sat back down at his desk and began to work, knowing he'd be here till morning.
Jessie just sighed before heading out. She was going to check on her friend but couldn't bring herself to. It hurt too much.
Le Timeskippy!
Rashi sighed as he walked into the office late that morning. He was grumpy, and in a bad mood. Scowling he went ove to pour himself a cup of coffee, slipping in extra cream and sugar. Taking a sip he sighed, "Has anyone seen my twin??" he asked, managing to sound genuinely worried, and mad at the same time. "He never came home yesterday…."
"He was in his office. He was still working when I left." Jessie smiled sympathetically at him.
Rashi blinked in surpise. "Him?! Working??? Still??" His scowl was gone in disbelief as he headed fo his brother's office.
Jessie watched him go, feeling a bit bad for Rio. He dealt with so much, he didn't deserve all of this.
Rashi walked into the office, instantly worried when he saw Rio asleep on the keyboard. Pushing Rio back into his chair he shook the other awake.
Rio moaned, mumbling something about staying alseep and his head being sore. Rashi touched his hand and noticed that his skin was dry.
"Great… you're dehydrated…" he muttered. Heading out to grab some water.
Jessie hadn't heard from Fiona that morning, instantly setting her on edge. She sighed quietly, grabbing herself a cup of coffee to try and take her mind off of it.
Rashi stopped by the vending machine and bought a couple of water bottles, pouring one on Rio's head, waking him up, then giving him the other.
She'd texted Fiona a couple times and she'd read them but hadn't answered. "She's alive but in what state?"
Rashi sighed, coming out of Rio's office, leaving his brother wet and half asleep. "Hopefully she's in better shape then the two of us." he said, grabbing his coffee.
"That's highly doubtful. Not after yesterday." She kept texting, hoping to God that she'd answer.
"Think someone should check on her?" asked Rio, coming out of the office, looking exhausted.
"Definitely. Just to make sure she doesn't do anything too extreme." She gently bit at her thumbnail, a bad habit she'd picked up from Fiona.
Rio nodded, heading for the door, when he stumbled tiredly. "You're going home." said Rashi, keeping the other from falling with his air manipulation. Rio sighed, "I'm not." he pushed himself up and kept walking.
"Idiot." said Rashi.
"Should I go after him?" She looked to the other twin, seeing that they both looked exhausted.
"He'll be fine" said Rashi, "Worst that'll happen is him getting a massive headache."
"If you say so." She shrugged, returning to her desk to try to get some work done.
Rashi shrugged, heading back to his office.
Rio sighed, a massive headache coming on as he came up to Fiona's door 20 minutes later.
