"Why destroy me?! I'm nobody!" Except the nightshade prince…. but that never counted for much…

The shadow smirked ¨Get the girl¨
The male shadow took off before Damian could do anything.

Damian growled, shifting and launching off of a tree, "Wolf Bond! Solaris Firestep!" A gold streak appeared in his fur as he ran after the shadow, running on pure flames.

briar hand landed but the shadow got to her.

Damian set up an Ice shield, tackling his shadow before it could touch Briar, "Run Briar!"

The shadow put it´s hand out as briar ran causing dagers to be shot at her ankle making her fall.

Damian quickly pinned his shadow down, putting daggers through it's limbs to pin it down, pain shooting through his arms as he did so.

The shadown began slowly unfreezing.

Damian bound it with shadow bindings, gritting his teeth against a cry of pain as it struggled against the daggers.

Briar crawled slowly over to him.

Damian kept the shadow pinned, "What do you want from me?!"

¨The girl!¨ The shadow shouted.

"Why?!" demanded Damian,

"shes making you weak "" the shadow said.

"What do you care?!" said Damian, "Last I checked having someone you care about has always made my family stronger! One of my uncles would be dead right now if he hadn't fought, fought to help his brother! My aunt wouldn't be alive right now if she hadn't had a daughter to protect. I wouldn't exist if my father didn't fight back against my grandfather! Wanna know why he fought? He fought to protect the people he cared about!!" Damian glared at the shadow, "If you are my shadow, then you should know that my family is stronger when we have someone to fight for."

The shadow smirked as he dissappereed.

Damian blinked in surprise, but didn't think much more of it when he saw it beneath him. sighing he rolled over and flopped on the ground, his arms were sore from where he'd stabbed the shadow, and he had a headache from using the Wolf's Bond…

Briar crawled over and smiled gently at him, stroking his hair.

Damian grinned at her, "Briar……" he sighed, his vision going blurry, "I think I'm gonna pass out now……"

"Your gonna be okay I promise"" she said.

"Yeah I know……" said Damian, trailing off as his vision went black.

"I''ll be here when you awaken" she whispered.

Damian finally came to, blinking in the bright sunlight over head. Rolling to the side he immediately regretted it, his arms ached, along with his leg.

"be careful" she said from her spot by a tree

Damian twisted to look up at her, curling up on the ground a moment later, "I ache….. all over….."
