She glanced between her mother and her father, confused.
Chace continued down the street, forcing himself not to look back, forcing himself not to feel. He pulled out his phone "hey mom, yeah its Chace. Mind if I come over a bit? I need you…"
Harley smiled softly and handed cerise to jesse and wipped her eyes"I-I have to" go she said fighting the urge to cry.
He reached his mother's house and knocked softly.
"My my my, how my son has grown!" She pulled him into a hug "Come on, I know that look. Let's talk in the living room."
Harley sat in her car thinking about Cerise and Chace.
"I love her mom, I love her and Ceruse more than anything. But I don't know where her own heart lies. Whether it's still with me or if she's moved on." He explained
Harley sighed as she fell asleep;
"she'll soon realize where her heart wants to be." She said
Harley kept seeing chace in her dreams.
He nodded and sighed "maybe. So how have you been."
Harley woke up and sighed.
Chance woke in his form and sighed. Seeing his mother yesterday and talking helped his nerves, but he had no idea how he was going to face Harley today in class
harley was i class fas asleep.
He could skip classes, just for today….no. if he wanted a better life for himself, even if it didn't include Harley, he need to stay strong and do the right thing. He got up and got dressed, packing his things for class and heading to History.
Harley was exhausted. She loved Chace she really did but she wasn't sure if he loved her.
"you're late Mr. Ramirez…" His teacher scolded
"sorry, slept in," he muttered, keeping his eyes down and walking to his seat in the back
"Harley pick your head up" the teacher said and she did so.
He pulled out his computer "tired?" He asked,
"I slept in the car".
"why? You couldn't make it home?" As much as he wanted to pretend not to care, he couldnt.
" I was thinking ".
"bout what?" He suddenly got nervous,
"My famuly.:
He glanced down, taking a breath "is everything alright with them?"
"Yeah cerise is fine"
"Harley Hollow, please go to the office' the teacher said.
Harley closed her computer gathering her things and went to the office where Cerise was sitting with the secretary.
He watched her leave, worry still festering in his stomach
Cerise squirmed in the secretary's arms in discomfort
Harley opened the door walking into the office .
Chace pulled out his phone "what happened?" he texted Harley
"Ramirez, phone. away now." his teacher scolded
Harley walked over to the front desk where the secretary was holding cerise.
She reached for her mother
"This little one's been whining for you all day."
Harley smiled as she picked her up holding her over her shoulder.
