"Aw, look at you, catching references!" Aika said with a smile, searching around for cups. "Yeah, it is. The whole conversation made me think of that one line."
"Aw, look at you, catching references!" Aika said with a smile, searching around for cups. "Yeah, it is. The whole conversation made me think of that one line."
Ava though for a bit. "It does, doesn't it?" She said giggling.
"You literally said pen. I thought you were referencing it yourself." Aika admitted, pulling down two glasses and pouring the lemonade.
"I really wasn't thinking about that." Ava said, thinking how Bates had stabbed the desk lady with a pencil before proceeding to break into there.
"One of your robots, right?" Aika asked, looking over at her. "You get this look on your face whenever you talk about them."
Ava got a guilty look on her face. "Bates broke into that bank, stabbed the desk lady with a pencil and proceeded to only steal one dollar, just to prove to me that anyone could break in there." She explained.
Aika snorted, clutching the edge of the counter as she double over in her musical laughter. "A dollar?"
A smile grew on Ava's face when she heard Akia's laughter, her heart fluttering slightly. "Yeah! He told me that he could break in there and steal how ever much he wanted to. I told him he couldn't, not as a dare but as a 'you shouldn't do that' thing but he took it as a dare and robbed the bank of a dollar." Ava said, her voice clear and free of stutters, even though her voice would waver every now and then.
That just seemed to trigger more of Aika's laughter. "I want to meet him so bad now. That's such a power move, honestly."
Ava laughed. "That's not the craziest thing he's done either." Ava said, wanting to tell Akia more stories. Honestly it was the one thing she could sort of brag about.
"Oh god, you have to tell me more." Aika said, looking excited and hopeful.
"Well he tried to be a puppet master once so he tied strings to Winston and tried to get him to kill Alex, when Alex was trying to fix a light he pulled the chair out from underneath him so Alex was stuck hanging from the light for an hour, he told me in all seriousness that he killed Alex and he could see his ghost, turns out he took Alex apart and Alex was actually haunting him." Ava told Akia.
Aika was still for a moment, before bursting into what this time, sounded a bit more…giggly. "He sounds like the perfect anti-hero, honestly."
Ava laughed. "Bates i-is no anti-hero. He just kinda…does what e-ever he wants." Ava explained. Why does her laugh sounds so cool?
"Chaotic neutral. Same." Aika grinned, grabbing the glasses and bringing them over.
Ava nodded. "Definitely." She said accepting a glass. She thought for a bit. "What alignment would you be?" She asked.
"Probably the same. You seem like a neutral." Aika mused, taking a drink of the lemonade.
Ava thought about it. "I'm probably a-a neutral good o-or a true neutral." She said.
"I can see neutral good." Aika nodded in agreement. "What would you say Shockwave's alignment is?"
Ava thought on it. "Part of me wants to say lawful good and the other wants to say chaotic good, so lawful chaotic." Ava said, grinning.
"Chaotic fits better. She's not hella uptight, as in any minor infraction deserves punishment." Aika mused, a smile on her face. "But she's willing to do most whatever it takes to keep people safe."
"True." Ava said, thinking back on Shockwave's and Akia's conversation earlier. She went quiet as she thought about what was going to happen to her.
"You know, we actually used to know each other." Aika said, making her way over to the small dining table and setting her glass down. She started to clear off the papers and empty coffee mugs, setting a psychology text book to the side.
"Shockwave?" Ava asked. "Y-You knew her?"
"Yeah, I did. She doesn't recognize me anymore." Aika shrugged, picking up a different psych textbook and leafing through it before setting it with the other one. "We were friends. Like, way back. Kinda funny, right?"
Ava thought about it. "How d-did you guys know e-each other?" She asked. Does she know Shockwave's identity then?
"We went to high school together." Aika said, laughing. "Seems like a lifetime ago."
"Y-You know who she is th-then?" Ava asked. Wait. She could of kidnapped her boyfriend or someone else she had. Why me? She thought. Because Shockwave's nothing with out you Ava. A small voice in the back of her head whispered.
"I'd hope so, yeah. Otherwise that photographic memory of mine isn't very photographic." Aika quipped, finishing up her cleaning. She picked up the stack of books, moving them to the counter.
Ava sat there, trying to prosses the information she just got. Siren, Shockwave's mortal enemy, knew who she was and didn't take advantage. Why?
