She sighed and rolled her eyes. "Can you make a decision at least once and not make me feel like a pushover? Even though I kinda am…" she muttered the last part.

"You worded that wrong. The 'pushover' is the person getting pushed around. And you're not pushing me around, merely guiding me. No need to worry your pretty little head."

"Shit." She rolled back onto her back and rubbed at her face. "Io sono un fottuto idiota!"

"Do I get to know what that means?"

"Context. What would I say in this situation?"

He frowned for a moment, rubbing his chin. "Runner is so beautiful?"

She snorted. "Yes. Definitely. Io sono un fottuto idiota definitely sounds like 'Runner is so beautiful.'" She removed her hands from her face. "It means 'I'm a fucking idiot.'"

"Close enough. But why are you calling yourself an idiot?"

"Because my lack of education just slipped, and I just cannot allow that to happen." She flashed a grin to lighten the statement.

"Lack of education? I can't tell you the last time I've been close to a school."

"When you first came here."

He rolled his eyes. "You know what I meant."

She smirked. "I do. I'm just saying." She sighed, closing her eyes again. "I don't really feel like doing anything today."

"Then let's not do anything," he said, scooting closer to her..

"Mmm. It doesn't sound like you're planning on doing nothing."

"Oh?" He asked. "What do you think is my plan, then?"

"Never mind. You're too innocent to do that."

"You're really trying to catch a charge? I'm only 17, Tess," he said playfully.

"And I'm 19. You're point?" She smirked. "And I've already concluded that you're too innocent, so you need not to worry."

"You may be right, but it still hurts my feelings."

"Oh? How so?"

"Well, by the time the shirts come off I'm already a blushing mess."

She snickered. "You need to be exposed. To get used to it."

"Now is not the time. You really want your brother walking in?"

She rolled back over to face him again. "I can always just kick him out."

"But that wouldn't be very nice, now would it?" he asked, rubbing his chin.

"You're just looking for excuses," she pointed out.

"Yes, I am, and I think I'm doing a pretty good job of it."

"Uh huh." She rolled on her stomach, resting her chin her her arms while she played with the fuzzy rug.
