"Married…" he echoed softly, "Married. Kasey Lawrence. My Kasey Lawrence. Do you think—Do you think we could start a family one day? Not anytime soon, obviously, but.."
"Married…" he echoed softly, "Married. Kasey Lawrence. My Kasey Lawrence. Do you think—Do you think we could start a family one day? Not anytime soon, obviously, but.."
Kasey pressed their lips together again. “Yes. Yes, definitely. I would love to have a family with you,” she promised softly, kissing him once more.
Barry pulled away and pressed their foreheads together. "I would be a father…" he whispered wistfully.
“An amazing one… You will be an amazing father. I cannot wait for that to happen,” Kasey breathed, her arms tightening around him in a hug.
"And you'd be the most amazing mother…" he whispered, Tears pricked his eyes at the thought of a child, be it a son or a daughter. Unconsciously, he pulled his hands from her waist and pressed them to her upper stomach. "A child…"
Kasey felt her breath catch when he moved his hands. She bit her lip and set her hands over his, running her thumbs on his skin. “I hope so. Gosh, I can’t wait… But— but after we’re married. Then we can start on that,” she whispered.
"Of course," he promised, "Of course. After we're married. I'd never dream of everything else."
Kasey smiled softly and gently kissed his forehead. “Thank you… It means a lot.”
Barry's lips curved upwards. "I love you so much…"
“I love you more,” Kasey murmured softly, cupping his cheeks before moving her hands into his hair. “Cuddle with me?”
"Of course…" he murmured, lowering her slowly onto the bed.
Kasey snuggled into him and moved her arms to wrap around his waist. “I seriously cannot wait for our wedding. I’m so excited, Barr.”
Barry entangled their legs together, pressing a kiss to the top of her head. "So am I…."
“It’s only a few more months away. How am I supposed to wait that long? We should have just picked a sooner date,” Kasey half-joked with a soft chuckle.
"But there's so much to get done.." he chuckled, "Though I very much agree. I also can't wait for you to meet my cousin.."
“Oh, yeah! I can’t wait for that, either. That’s next weekend?” Kasey wondered.
"Yeah," Barry answered, kissing her softly. "Next weekend."
Kasey pressed a soft kiss back. “Cool. We should go on a picnic or something.”
"Yeah, that sounds nice," he agreed, smiling.
Kasey tugged on her jacket over her black dress, making sure her scarf was tucked into the proper places and not sticking out weirdly. She glanced over at Barry, a smile pulling on her lips. He seemed so excited for this. It was adorable, really.
Barry bounced softly on a the balls of his feet, an enormous, child-like grin on his face. "Are you ready to go?" he asked his fiancée, picking a basket up from the floor.
Kasey chuckled softly at him and pulled her boots on. “Yes, Barr, I’m ready. Let’s go.”
Barry pulled her out the door, anxious to get to the park they were meeting his cousin at. "She's very energetic," he began to ramble as they made their way down to the parking lot, "And she talks a lot. Way more than I do. I really hope she doesn't bore you—would you be upset if it was boring? Do you think you'll get along?"
“Barry, it’ll be fine! I’m sure I’ll love her, don’t worry. We’ll get along fine,” Kasey assured her fiancé with a light laugh. “C’mon, now, babe.”
"I really, really hope so.." he murmured sheepishly as they approached his car. "I really hope so."
“It’ll be fine, Barry. You don’t have to worry about it. From what I heard about her, well gee along pretty well,” Kasey said softly, giving his hand a squeeze before slipping into the car.
"Can I play some music?" Barry asked her as he started the car, glancing over his shoulder. "Some of my sappy classic rock?"
Kasey chuckled a bit and buckled herself in. “Of course, love. I think your ‘sappy rock’ is nice.”
"Good," he grinned, "Or else I probably wouldn't want to marry you." Obviously joking, he tapped the box between their seats. "I've got CDs in there, would you mind finding my Blackbird album? The Beatles one."
Kasey laughed and stuck her tongue out at him playfully for his joke. “How rude. I’m hurt, Barr,” she teased as she picked the case up and started looking through the CDs.
